  1. PD reserve soft links(SR-1) are made from Spectra 1500 lbs and they are approved under T.S.O C23d.You can jump them with your main.

  2. From your pictures it looks as the rig is a pretty good fit if worn properly. It appears that you’re wearing the rig a bit low on your back from how low the yoke is on your back and how your stabilizer cants downward. Try this... Put your rig on and bend over sliding the rig all the way up until the yoke hits your neck, then put on your chest strap and then keep the rig high on your back and tighten down the leg pads a bit more than you have in the pictures and see if that is comfortable. The leg pads do not actually need to touch as long as there is padding material wherever there is suspended weight

    This is just my opinion.

I may be wrong but I think the main difference between g3 and g4 is mostly harness tweaks and little add ons. for the most part I believe the container itself is the same.

    Wrong;)You miss the point.The question is G4 M3 or G4 M4 and M3 and M4 are sizes,not models;)

The best you can do is if you call Mirage. They know better than me,you or somebody else here.

  6. If I have to guess,I would say it's a wax coated webbing.Less slippery through the SS hardware. But you should talk to them.Give them a call and ask.

  7. I had the same a few weeks ago.Brand new G4,hop & pop and about 2 sec delay on the PC.I guess because of my main is a bit tight(Sabre 2/MXS1/2).I will see on my next jump.I will go terminal.

  8. If you want a new reserve(Optimum) only because of the pack volume.Don't waist your money. In my opinion PDR 126 fits just perfect into TJNK.But if you want a newest reserve on the market,go for it!

Brian Germain makes something called Slocks that install on the risers. There's a thread around here somewhere about them.

I am also interested in buying a new custom G4. I am in upstate NY where the closest local gear shop is the Ranch (4-5 hours away). Any online suggestions? I'd be interested in not only the cheapest, but who is helpful in making sure you're getting what you want.

I got mine 2 weeks ago from Mike Gruwell(www.chutingstar.com).I'm 100% satisfied. The best price and the best customer support.
    Just my opinion;)

  12. The FAA only cares about American citizens jumping TSOed gear out of American-registered airplanes.
Is that correct? And the guy is from Ireland,so I don't think that He will have any problems.

  13. Thanks a lot.The guy IS NOT A RIGGER.
Let me explain...I was a military rigger and don't need someone else to touch my gear. The problem become when this guy(DZ manager)grounded some jumpers because their reserves wasn't pack by FAA rigger.(these jumpers are not USA citizens so I don't think that they need FAA rigger. The DZ is group member on USPA,but is not located in USA).He said that they can jump, but after reserve repack, and because he's a FAA rigger, the problem can be solved for a small fee(40 euros) know the guy and I know his "rigging" skills. That's why I wrote this post.
