  1. this was a photo shoot for that photogragher that does the huge nude landscapes. man i cannot remember his name but he did one here in montreal and you had to be there at 6 am and the city closed down the section of city they were using. man what is that guys name????
  2. i like the blue body but maybe yellow flames. mind you i don't know what the rest of you gear looks like
  3. Hey yeah alright let me know if you are going to unload your cypres for super cheap! mark
  4. i am in central brazil near Brasilia and am wondering if there are any dropzone jumpers around. mark
  5. yeah, didn't eddie irvine think of doing some rally but after he got outta the car when they gave him a co driver ride he said NO-WAY to dangerous! and Valentino Rossi went off on his first try after he won the Moto gp. i used to plant trees up north in canada and i drove alot of road like that (albeit in a truck) but holy shit driving that fast only on what you see and what some guy next to you is telling you! wow mark
  6. I spent a couple of years as a corner flag worker at race city speedway when i was living in Calgary Alberta. i had a GSXR 750 and an RZ 350 but i never raced myself. i recently became addicted to speed channel when my girlfriend moved in with me and hooked up cable. i followed my first formula 1 season, and CART. i went to see the CART race in Montreal this year where i live now and i can hear the formula 1 and CART cars from my house. i love Moto GP and WSB and formula extreme bike racing and i have really been enjoying the touring car championships. like the german touring car masters and the british touring car races. they really like to push eachother around when they have body work covering the wheels! oh yeah and did anyone see the footage of tommi makkainen rollling like eight times in his rally subaru? wow. mark
  7. we also have a microbrewery beer called 'Fin de la Monde' (translates to 'End of the World') which in 9% there are quite a few options here in the 6% - 8% ratio, even some from the major brewers which do taste like piss, but then you shouldn't be expecting much more if yer drinking major label beer anyway.
  8. just updating that url. it is not on the front page any more. http://cbc.ca/stories/2002/12/12/potlaws021212
  9. oh yeah we do the beer thing right up here. we know alcohol, we never even had prohibition in quebec.
  10. Has Anyone seen the TV series Medicopter? so i was stoking the woodstove up here in montreal and that show came on and it was an episode where the skyvan is some sort of transport plane with a chemical cargo that leaks and knocks out the pilot and so the medicopter people fly up and winch down a paramedic who climbs into the skyvan and winchs out the unconscious pilot and then after a failed attempt at landing he jumps with the chemical and he has a round parachute and ends up in a tree. the most horrific thing of it all besides the things that were pretty unrealistic (like almost hitting a farmer on a tractor and then being at 10,000 about 2 seconds later ) was that they crashed the Pink skyvan into a mountain (i know not really). i thought they would save the plane, but then there would have been no reason to jump! anyway, it really made my day, -10 celcius up here today (what's that in farenheit?) later mark
  11. Mr. Booth, thanks for the input! yeah the only reason i don't have a vector III already is cash! but i am saving! maybe aggiedave and i can get a bulk discount if we buy at the same time! (shameless plug for the poor!) for next week i will stay on my belly mostly! i get to spend a couple of days at Skydive New England. mark
  12. so i have a vector II and i read the thread here about making freefly modifications, and of course there are varying opinions on the subject. is it possible to make this container freefly friendly, or should i just wait till i can afford a better container? is it possible that i could send my container to relative workshop for these mods? and what should it be worth if i find a rigger who knows what he/she is doing and does the work for me? i just got the rig from a friend who strongly suggests not to freefly it as it is but thinks that doing the mods wouldn't be worth my time and i should wait till i get a more up to date container. mark
  13. well, i think i have started to figure out how to get two of my favourite aspects of my life combined for even more fun! tonight my blues band is playing at the local university because i was able to set up an extreme sports evening and my local dropzone is comin down to show videos and recruit newbies and raffle off free tandems. then i am gonna set up a show at the dropzone where they will pay me in jumps and i will pay my band in cash cause they are not ready to let go of thier whuffo status.
