    thaks good to know, if your heading up and looking for company drop me a line. Also is it worth getting a controlled storage box here for my rig? getting one for my camera gear and just worried that if you leave clothes too long the can mold here what about kit? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large Groups!!

    That is just not the case! I have seen cases of both skydiving and ground photography were the standard cannon 18-55 usm has resulted in published photographs in several magazines etc. I also use it alot although i do prefer to use other lenses on the ground due to its limited range. Slap a UV filer on it and its great for some really nice skydiving pics. also as its cheap then if it does get damaged it doesnt cost the world to replace! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large Groups!!

    my understanding of it (and please correct me if i'm worng) Tandems as they are paying for the product unless you have a waiver for the original footage they own the copyright as they are a paying client. however with fun jump footage etc anything were ppl agree to you filming or shooting the aritist (photographer) owns the copyright however it is considered courtious to seek permission/notifiy the subjects that the material is going to be display publically!! R. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large Groups!!

    putting the camera back can be just as quick ff2 with top mounted still, can screw back in and line up on my own in under 30sec!! I have a couple marker points on the helment just line the stills up and tighten! Never had any miss alingment probs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large Groups!!

    Yea I dont have one either in fact most camera flyers at the dz dont, its the extra height with top mount in a cessna dz! although now used to having the top mount looking at getting a strobo as doing a lot more ground shots and snaps about the dz and gettin sick of unscrewing all the time!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large Groups!!

    Didnt do a tandem until i was doing video at a tandem instructors course last year, had fun in freefall, what really got me was not hacing the rig on under canopy just did not trust the clips!! which is weird as i reqularly hang off just one clip when working. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large Groups!!

    just as a side thought, cannon have brought out a new mini-dv high def upright camcorder, (Not cradle based and with lanc port etc). Not looked into it too much but as sony are getting away from side mount compatable cameras this could soon become the popular option! looking for a second camcorder as back up incase my pc105 fails on me! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large Groups!!

    Correct me if i'm wrong but i've got a 350D and it has a sensor cleaner too!!!! Love the camera and get some great shots with it! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large Groups!!

    Just bear in mind that you need to get your aff done by a BPA instructor out there otherwise you may not necessary qualify for your A-licience when you return to the UK, requirements changed earlier in the year. Also need to cover CH1 (canopy control stuff). I have known a couple of ppl who went out this year came back with everthing bar CCI signature and had to ask UK CCI's to sign them off. My 2 cents take the time and do it in the UK you wont qualify as quick but you'll learn far more just kicking about the DZ especially on Bad weather days, makes for a safer skydiver / more aware skydiver when qualified. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large Groups!!

    You can tranfer through USB and gives the same quality as fire wire! I have both option with my setup and generally use USB to dump tandem vids in to computer. you just have to remember to swtich usb streaming on in the camera. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large Groups!!

    Ok so I've just started doing vid and during my initial safety brief for camera, one thing that was highlighted was RSL's. Now I've never been a big fan of RSL's (bring on all you zelots who think i'm wrong etc, its a personal choice get over it!) as such didn't hace one when started jumping camera. Anyway I just read a post about cutaway showing photos (swooping forum with katana) and the guy had an RSL and is now going for a skyhook! Now i personally dont want either device to fire my reserve up into a possible snagged canopy but hey i've only got 260 jumps !! so whats other peoples views?? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large Groups!!
