  1. At Siloam Springs, Ar. Skydive Skyranch, Saturday and Sunday, May 24-25, is the planned ashdive for Jeffery Ross, in accordance with his wishes. He passed away Dec. 1, 2013. There will be a supper Saturday night and if others can help with side dishes, that would be great. Meat-buns provided. Since Jeffery's favorite skydiving time was morning, the ash dive will be Sunday morning. This event is announced by his girlfriend, Teresa, and his son, Jeffery Jr. Please direct any questions to [email protected].
  2. Thank you, Swoopper. He talked often about his days at Bragg. and he loved being a paratrooper. I'm glad you two were able to reconnect. Teresa
  3. My name is Teresa Shane and I am Jeffery Ross' girlfriend. It is with a heavy heart I let the dropzone community know that Jeffery passed away on Dec. 1, 2013 in Warrensburg, MO. from health complications. There will be a memorial skydive Memorial Day weekend at Siloam Springs, AR. Skydiving was his life and he hoped to be able to return to the sky, but it was not to be. He was loved, and he is missed. Thank you, Teresa

  6. I read the posts and now it's time for my two cents. I recently started jumping at FFX after a layoff. Bryan Wolford, DZO, was more concerned with me getting back up in the air safely, than getting back up in the air. I must preface this by stating that I have held AFF-I, Vector Tandem-I, S/L-I ratings, and have competed in CRW competitions world-wide. 20+ years in the sport, and I have over 6000 jumps. I don't know the reasons for the AAD fires, but I will ask I do, however, know that aircraft maintenance, as well as student gear is of the hightest quality and caliber. Sure, there are times when something breaks, but I have never seen safety compromised at all. That said, I have jumped and taught at the "large" DZ's in the U.S. and Europe. This is a small Mid-West DZ, and if you're bumped, it's probably for a good reason. There are also reasons why Bram and Elly Clement are now part of the staff and family. They bring a wealth of instructional and experience that is envied at other DZs. The entire staff is knowledgable and capable, else I would jump next door. Nothing against our friends next door; I am comfortable with FFX. I would ask that the folks who posted the negative give us another shot. You don't have to say who you are. Just don't pre-judge based on one experience. Thanks, Jeffery Ross
