  1. It's like graduating college; you're excited to be moving to a new stage of life but you'll love that very last frat party (ow whatever) all the same.
  2. The Band, with my Dad at WYSP's Be-In, Cooper River- NJ. Probably 1989ish, I was 11 or so.
  3. What about Religion? You wandered into this thread, you have to have an opinion
  4. My beliefs are similar to yours. I think it's important to remember that not much effort has been made to prove any type of spiritual existence, at least not by reputable scientific research institutes. I understand why; and I too would much rather see money go to curing horrible diseases, not proving that humans have souls which may or may not continue to exist beyond our death. All I'm saying is I think there's a big hole in the argument that it's never been proven to exist or not.
  5. PJ gave me my first packing lesson. I'll never forget his animated descriptions and warnings of how certain mistakes would leave you "screaming like a school girl". The position he got into when he said it always made me laugh. I didn't know him well, he seemed happy and goofy but very hard working and safety oriented all at once. My thoughts and prayers are with all who love him. Melissa
  6. "I was born at night, but not last night" I always hated that. Then I was dating a guy who said the same thing to me, and I almost passed out
  7. Stromboli-pepperoni, hot sausage spinach or brocoli, all good, and serves a bunch. Spinach dip in a big hollowed-out rye bread thing, crab dip-any dip...let's see....Nachos with homemade guacamole can be trasformed to tacos, etc., so that's easy and fun..chicken or pork pot stickers are great can be gotten to-go. Cold pumpkin ravioili is great. It depends on the crowd too. Mix it up for everyone
  8. Try Stoli Oranj (or however it's spelled) with club and a big orange wedge. Yum
  9. Yes, it means a safe place or shelter. I suspect the word you were looking for is "having." Blues, Dave Wow, can't believe I missed that one
  10. It's funny you say that. The only time I don't like mine is when I look at it and am reminded of the ex-boyfriend who designed it. You have a good point though
  11. Maybe it's just semantics, but I would have associated getting one covered up (or removed) as having regretted it. But, I can also understand the point of view that no longer liking one doesn't equate to regretting haven gotten it (is haven a word ?) I'm surprised so many people who voted are still happy to have them, I apparantly had some misconceptions.
  12. Just curious b/c of the other poll. As my friends and I approach our 30's, it's interesting to see how many people still like them, and how many wish they had "listened to their Mother". Any other comments welcome
  13. It might be interesting to do a poll for those who have them, who regrets it now? I've got one (lower back, about 10 years old) and still like it, but probably would regret it if it was more visible.
  14. I would never have a pit bull with another pet. I watched my ex's pit kill a cat (while he hit it with a chain trying to make it stop-dog didn't feel it), and have friends who's weirheimer (spelling?) was mauled by a neighbor's pit that escaped the yard. I have never seen a well-trained pit be agressive toward a human. I think they're much more dangerous to your other pets than to your children. On the other hand, my dog is a dalmatian mix (I think he's got pointer in him too) -and can't let him near children. He's never attacked/bit anyone, and is the most affectionate dog in the world to adults, but growls and seems to be very scared of my little cousins. I got him from a pound when he was one, so I assume a blond child antagonized him in some way, b/c he has no problem with the non-blond children in our family. Better safe then sorry, he's not invited to family functions where kids will be present.
