  2. Not disputing anyone's knowledge or method . my thoughts..2nd set of eyes (experienced) ........inflate it on the ground after you believe you have correctly connected the parachute .......work back through your process with the 2nd set of eyes

  10. 2 spring to mind ...........one where we assumed the glider pilot pissed on it on a distance /endurance flight .2nd ,the pilot who found the 'seating' of the pilot chute was not to his liking and was able to open ,remove and close same. The pissed on rig reappeared 5 years later as the rigger yelled across the loft ,'ya remember the catspiss rig ?we got another ' it was the same one(we had de stunk

    Depends on experience... Took me 2 months to convert my aff and tandem ratings over from USPa to apf whole process is a joke and terribly slow however they say it is under review, it also cost over 600 dollars... All I had to do was pay my money and sit an exam....

Jerry has had the most measured and respectful response so far .Yeager and Kittinger completed military missions successfully and in doing so contributed immensely to the efforts and projects of those who followed. Felix is not an "overnight success" story......He had a goal and bravely worked it to success ,His other civilian predecessor, Nick Piantanida who attempted the same just after Kittinger died from mask decomp but had set a balloon altitude record as part of the lead up..that record and and Kittingers have passed to Felix.......rather like a baton ,the old symbol of a successful jump. Sound barrier disputes are a whole other post ........anyone know Andrew Green ?.......Press questions to anyone are "loaded to sell news .......Yeagers flight was planned to be an anniversary ........Felix had to wait because of weather .....Kismet

Home made reserve kicker plates were my favorite..........allowed the shitty ma1 to find its way out of the container.....(spawnded poptops too)..........one was a cardboard picnic plate , worked ok , the other was the lid off a tin that that had been hacked open with an old fashioned opener............serrated edges burrowed in to your reserve beautifully. Kicker plates were the 1st bullshit detector ever made ..........If your kicker plate landed under the tree you were hanging under your reserve in you were LOW ........200 metres away and you were'nt........ so tell the truth
