  1. Just a quick search, but is $329.95 low cost for a vegas plugin?? ...or am I at the wrong site? http://www.revisionfx.com/products/twixtor/pricing/#vegas
  2. Is the mic just velcroed to your glove?
  3. Thanks, Wicked footage dude! It's true that the low light is where it really seems warm. I actually found a comparison clip on You Tube pitting the original GoPro against the GoPro 2... http://youtu.be/esuha3hwjMU It's clear that the new model handles low lighting MUCH better, with the color tone remaining true.
  4. Can you confirm if the new model still has a yellow(ish) tinge to the video?? Mine, and others I've seen (GoPro HD 1080) always seems to record in a warmer temperature tone...
  5. Here's my setup. I love the Vapor Wes Pro for the added top surface. The Cookie Flatlocks also work great for keeping a low profile and the overall setup tidy...
  6. These are all very good points...I wish more people would read and take into consideration the necessary skills pointed out in this thread. As Superfletch said, being able to sit and watch the video with the customer without being ashamed that they paid $100 for it is a good way of knowing if you're doing a good job.
  7. Here's a list of feature settings written by Trunk for the CX-100...I'm assuming most will apply to the CX-150. http://www.gethypoxic.com/component/content/article/1-latest-news/61-cx100.html
  8. I for one am looking forward to this list. Everyone seems to think that the dangers are all gone due to the small size cameras that are now available.
  9. Thanks Hellis, I'm going to get the GoPro suction mount and try that out...apparently it will hold for up to 200mph!!
  10. How are you mounting the GoPro to the plane? Are you using the sticky mount? I heard removing the sticky mount would likely take a chunk of the plane with it!?
  11. Seriously?? A simple search for "CX-100 box" came up with hundreds of threads discussing this very topic... http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=search_results&search_forum=all&search_string=cx-100%20box&sb=score&mh=25
  12. Sorry if I'm highjacking this thread, but now this is starting to sound like the Precision is nothing like the Icarus (aside from the light toggle pressure and no brake settings) I'm officially still looking for an Icarus 365...pm me if anyone has a lead
  13. Thanks chaospilot! I need to replace one of our Icarus 365s and have found a Precision that I would consider if it were close to the Icarus. From what you say, it sounds like it would be close enough...
  14. Love tandem Icarus canopies! We use 330s and 365s.. Can anyone tell me how the "Precision" tandem compares?? Do they have similar, nice openings?
  15. I have both the Raynox .3 and the Century .55. I bought the Century to replace the Raynox as the fogging was ruining too many tandem videos. The century may not be as wide, however it is much smaller and lighter, and has great IQ...The century .5 would be another good option.
  16. DSE, is it much wider than the Century 0.55? If it was worth it, I'd consider replacing the .55 as I find it a little narrow.
  17. I use the zoom function when using the Optica lens, I just bump it up 3 notches for outside freefly or even tandem vids. I know Arizona Arsenal's camera flyer Sara does this as well...the access is a plus for some.
  18. Hey Blink, looks a lot like your design...
  19. The Optica 0.3 is "almost" as wide as the Royal 0.2, but not quite... I have no vignetting (black corners) whatsoever using these lens's with my CX-100, however, this can vary from camera to camera or thread size differences... I love the Optica...I use it for freefly jumps, even tandem video jumps...just need to zoom in 3 notches and good to go. IMO, it's a must have lens if shooting HD.
  20. QuoteMaybe because the opteka 0.3 isn't an actual HD lens and turning on the function makes the image wider and thus more blurry in the edges?Quote The Optica IS an HD lense, and if you search the forum you'll find the screenshots your asking for. As for the wide angle setting..check out this cool settings and functions chart Written by trunk: http://www.gethypoxic.com/component/content/article/1-latest-news/61-cx100.html
  21. I suggest you send him a pm...here's his profile. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?username=Blink I believe he's got a few made up and ready to go...
  22. Finally! Here's the solution I was looking for. After my disappointing purchase of a "plastic" box, I had decided to go without one all together and just use a flatlock on my Vapor Wes Pro. I like having the ability to remove the camera from my helmet with just a quick release and also have quick access to the LCD... Blink's CX-100 cage (Blink Box) has met all of my needs and added the protection I was lacking. It's simply the best setup I can think of...I highly recommend this cage!
  23. Thank you Will!! I've got my very own "Blink Box" for my CX-100 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Mounted on my Vapour WP, It's simple design gives me access to the LCD without having to open up a box, all the while giving that camera protection I was looking for. The camera is held in by a screw, with the additional locking pin for anti-twist to boot! Here's a few photos...
  24. I simply typed in "CX-100" in the search bar and came up with this thread in seconds... http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=3505260;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25;
