  1. This is a good suit too. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  2. One article said the flyover photo op was combined with another mission to defray the costs. The Photographer was in the back seat of the F-16, it was an AF Combat Photgrapher. And Louis admitted (or at least took) resposibility. Can we all move along now? Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

  4. Only if you blame the USPA Gov Relations office for the lack of disclosure! Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  5. I think the FAA was doing as told and maybe the WH Press Sec could have said some thing around 930AM? Not enough time to plan any thing by a bad guy but planty of time to avoid most of the panic those folks felt. You know we are going to end up in the other forum. 6. +1 This is a better direction for the thread! It gets away from the anger, there is such anger out there! Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  7. You can start looking at gear as soon as you want, but Buying I would wait on till you know what you want in the sport. You can find very nice used gear for a fraction of the cost of new and could get the gear around the 50 jump range, learn from it and then progress into the direction that draws you through the sport. Here we will tell you all our opininos about Gear in Disciplines in the sport, and we are all right, just ask us we will tel you we are right. But a reputable instructor at your DZ is probably a better place to start when it comes to begining your skydiving career. Welcome and have fun! Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. 10. Yes, they can and if they need to, they will. Dandan is not in yet, if you read his original post he said he was going to MEPS. Ask the people at Rucker what the rules are, ask the folks in SF's Q, or the folks at Benning when they go to school, and this is just ONE service. In the US the Services have the Authority, by contract, to dictate your daily activities. They can make activities and Places OFF LIMITS. Thay can place retrictions or additional rules on the activites and if you break the rules make you pay for it, not only by taking pay and time. If injured while doing it, have you may have to pay for your medical bills. Yes, most Unit Commands (not School Commands) will allow you to do high risk activities. But it is still best to KNOW what the policy is and not beleive shit house/barracks lawyers. I have had the misfortune of being tasked to assist in several Army 15-6 investigations and most ended up in the Soldiers favor, but barely. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. 15. Very well said Scott. Harry always worked hard to keep the Staff, Students and Thier Family informed and upbeat, he really did a great job for us. He was always fun to be around and hang out with. I enjoyed our talks, about any thing and every thing, after a full fun day of jumping. Fly free Harry! I will miss you my friend. 16. First thought for me is the stows must not be proper. Maybe the stows are double wrapped and the band used is too tight or maybe the stow is just to tight, maybe the stow is to long allowing the bite to be stuck. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  17. I believe that statement is incorrect, he has met the criteria, but does not have a B license. Not till he documents it, then applies for it and it is issued, then he HAS a B license. Until then he is just qualified for one, if being qualified for one is all that is required for a night jump or some other form of jumping he would be good to go, if HAVING the license is how it is stated he would need at least the E-mail or Fax Confirmation (maybe a photo copy of the mailed in application would work too). But I think the Megatron was still missing the Water Training and that was what his statement was about. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  18. I have had 3 still have two. I put around 500 jumps on the first one and it showed no sign of wear other than a grass stain and a few dirt stains on the booties from dragging them during landings and I never take it off while packing. I have an all black one on sale (since my normal jump colors are blue). Over all a good suit I would buy again if I needed one. I use mine for RW, Coaching, AFF and Tandems.
