    Mark,
Nice to see a civil discussion, and Sheridan surfacing again.
Something you are aware of but maybe not the board in general is that ...
    - Sheridan was in SE Asia during the time the 727 was being "jumped".
    - Air Asia purchased 3 727's from Boeing in the mid 1960's,
    N5055, N5093 and N5092.
    - one would think that SAT 727 N5092 as posted by mrshutter45, post #44529, was in Saigon when Sheridan was. That photo was taken at Nha Trang in 1968.
    Certainly this one was,
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/aodcurator/4059675378/
    - Sheridan worked for Pacific Architects and Engineers (PA&E) in Cu Chi, 1966 - 1967.
PA&E was owned by Pacific Corp, a holding company that also “owned” AA, Air Asia, SAT among others, i.e.. a CIA front.

Pretty good detective work on the 727.

The Paper Trail that says he was in SE Asia, is not too heavy in the "evidence" arena. That is if he did have SOG type creds. I know of a few MACVSOG folks who had paperwork showing them to be at bases in other countries, as they sneaked around a different country all together, I even know of one who attended a wedding back in the NW, but winked and said, he was in Loas, had paperwork to prove it even. But He was in the wedding photos. Strange huh?

Maybe some one has Pics of the man in SE Asia during the hijacking?

I'm celebrating the 4th in KY right where Jo grew up. They actually let you buy and use fireworks here. In KY the legal fireworks can only maim. You have to drive to TN to get the hard stuff that can kill.

I see the right to bear fireworks as a serious civil rights issue.
They'll get my M80s when they pry them from my cold dead hands.

Yep, right across the border, right at 24's Exit 1 in TN.
    Still getting free fireworks shows!

Him not handing it over BOLSTERS his credibility as he followed the regs for evidence correctly.

Read the last 2 posts I made - obviously someone has to SPELL everything out for U. U always pass the buck - like it was someone elses job to get the history. It was just your job to interview the people. GIMME a BREAK,

U built a house of straw and it was so easy to blow down, but the wolf must have ate you. U must be in Piggy Heaven and think U are still safe in the house of Straw....if you are still on the earth you are naked for the world to see.

Jo, I ASKED HIM for the post, he showed KC was enlisted, still waiting on the visible evidence for the paratrooper part. But, at least Robert has provided more than others thus far.

***I told Porteous that perhaps the reason the hijacker selected the NB-6/8 container was because that was the only one brought aboard he was familiar with. Also, this 'front and back chute' stuff could point to someone who hadn't jumped in a long time. Funny way to ask for parachutes.

The "front and back chute" remark is a funny way to ask for parachutes and indicates that Cooper was not a paratrooper to begin with.

Also, Army paratroopers would not normally come in contact with the Navy NB-6/8 parachutes.

    Robert99

Yeah, an Army Paratrooper might ask for a "Main and Reserve". Smoke Jumpers use the same terms, and that theory may eliminate other candidates too.

***Those missions would be declassified by now, if they even happened.

Use the FOIA and show us those missions, then we may be inclined to think along those lines.

Personally, the hijacker is not one of the three we keep bantering about here, no conclusive evidence so far.

I think the hijacker, had a small amount of ACTUAL military training, in the exit and jumping arena, and had a risk-reward plan in mind that made it so we are confused by some of his choices.

And, if he still lives, he laughs at this thread daily, as he twists his MACVSOG ring and enjoys a cold beer in Mexico .

    Matt

These 727 missions in Southeast Asia did happen and have been written up by a fellow in Texas. I don't remember his name or the link but they have been on this thread for about the last three or four years.

    Robert99

I was addressing Jo's missions in AK, TX, etc. If she got those records, then she could do one of two things, confirm or deny DW's involvement. I think it is far fetched he had anything to do with SOF/Covert Ops

The SEA Missions are legendary in the Military Parachuting and SOF World. I have had the pleasure of jumping from some "none-jump" planes, or even ones "outdated".

That is a dumb question, Jo. Do you think maybe JT is chief of the Cooper Crew? I know JT personally. Gold mine and all. You would never believe it. NEVER in a million years. We'll just keep that a secret.

I think you know a lot about lies Knoss. stop feeding, your stomach is going to burst......who was TOG Matt asked you once....your reply...Bill Rataczak of course...

what kind of business does Dave Haapala have. BK says , in communication.....wrong again..

shall I go on truth seeker?????? lmao

Twist all you want. The facts are as I have stated and YOU can't deal with the truth. Mr. Cleaner man. Shutter-upper.TOG could be Bill, I didn't say that, Matt did. Dave was a NW pilot, friend of Bill's. I worked for his dad as part of my "protective custody" in the barren wastelands of N.D. after my session with John Anderson. Bite me. The tough one will be the Busch stadium jump. Stadiums are notorious for eating Skydivers, any wind at all and it swirls inside like a toilet bowl. Takes some seat of the pants flying to get in & walk away. Stadiums require a 'Professional Demonstration Skydiver' rating & they don't give those out for S&H Green Stamps.

YouTube has a few videos that demonstrate hungry stadiums munching on demo jumpers. Orthopedic surgeons love stadium jumps.

Be careful Airtwardo. I watched Jim Wallace abort a stadium approach before he reached the point of no return and land outside. It was the right choice.

Yeah...the then new Giants Stadium, right? - I gave him that gig because I was double booked that date, I was jumping pyro into a stadium across the country.

More to 'that' story than meets the eye...but that's a story I'll share with ya over a chilly one sometime. ;)

With my 1000+ demo's, and half being stadiums, some times I miss those days, then the old ankles and knees remind me why I slowed and eventually stopped doing them, then I do not miss it, too much (but I still do to a degree!).

For now, I will stick with my PD/LEO training, and fun jumping a few times a year, with the few ratings courses thrown in for the Mil guys (for free to them).

    Have some great jumps Brother!

I imagine the opening would be like the upward bounce on a bungee jump or something.

Not quite...with that canopy and that speed, it's more like jumping off a bungee jumping platform ~ with a log chain instead of a big rubber band.

You're essentially decelerating from what...about 150 mph to almost zero in two heartbeats.

    Ohhhhh scary jet jumps......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NVqVKwHmTA

***Personally, I have little trouble believing that the administration withheld information 30+ days before a close election because it was not politically expedient to do so.

What information? That it was a terrorist attack? If they "withheld" that information, they why did Obama call it a terrorist attack the next day? What EXACTLY do you think was withheld?

Semantics, but did he actually call it that? didn't he say an "act" of terror?

And if the Admin WAS accepting the number two guy on the grounds assessment, then they would not be blaming a video 5 days later, and on.

Yep, like all Admins they have failings, so like all Admins they should be scrutinized, and if no criminal actions, improvements should be made, if criminals actions charges made, as well as the improvements.

But CNN has a poll showing that the majority of those polled want an investigation done, by a Special Prosecutor.

    Could you link that poll?

My mistake, the "majority for an investigation" is for the IRS scandal, the article on CNN handled the top three "scandals of the week".

But the article explaining their poll does mention a majority are disappointed in the Admins handling of the situation/s.

    http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/05/19/have-new-controversies-hurt-obama-has-gop-overreacted/

  22. If Cooper WAS a trained Smoke Jumper, or experienced Military Rough Terrain Jumper, he would NOT lower the money bag, that would chance it getting caught up, and he getting placed horizontally across the treetops, and landing in a more precarious position. I (and Amazon, Walt, etc) covered this a hundred-ish pages back.

  23. But CNN has a poll showing that the majority of those polled want an investigation done, by a Special Prosecutor.

Plus, Mr Hicks (the #2 man there) in his sworn testimony said he called the Secretary of State and told her it was a terrorist attack, as the attack was happening, and that the SF Team was prepped and heading to an A/C to respond.

The Admin has released ~100 of ~2500 e-mails (is that right or it there one more 0?) they should release all the e-mails. The ~100 appear to show the WH knew in real time the actual situation.

One thing that makes me think the Admin is wrong here, their PR style media blitze to sway public opinion, not addressing Congress or the Press directly.
