***Amazon, I hope you were responding to mr? whatever his name is, and not Jim West
Jim west still jumps and fly's every weekend ! Still active, and runs the same DZ you used to jump at :)
    Lee West

    Yiup pretty much Lee:D

See I do have a clue.. and no way am I going to argue with the boss ( either of you):)

Wisdom. One would do well to heed this sage advice, bow to Lee and Jim (but keep an eye on 'em) :P

They are GOOD people! Always have been always will be!

***I have another Cooper forum I can go to if I want, where I have some personal control over matters such as this. Where neither RobertMBlevins/Adventure Books or Jo Weber are allowed, period.

As I've said for years, if you don't like it here, nobody is holding a gun to your head.

If you don't like the very simple rules here, then by all means, go enjoy whatever you find enjoyable somewhere else.

******"WHY did and why DOES JT lie?"

That is a dumb question, Jo. Do you think maybe JT is chief of the Cooper Crew? I know JT personally. Gold mine and all. You would never believe it. NEVER in a million years. We'll just keep that a secret.

I think you know a lot about lies Knoss. stop feeding, your stomach is going to burst......who was TOG Matt asked you once....your reply...Bill Rataczak of course...

what kind of business does Dave Haapala have. BK says , in communication.....wrong again..

shall I go on truth seeker?????? lmao

Twist all you want. The facts are as I have stated and YOU can't deal with the truth. Mr. Cleaner man. Shutter-upper.TOG could be Bill, I didn't say that, Matt did. Dave was a NW pilot, friend of Bill's. I worked for his dad as part of my "protective custody" in the barren wastelands of N.D. after my session with John Anderson. Bite me. If you knew anything at all you would know not to push it.

Liar. And now you add more fables.

also an interview with the man who made the sketch of Cooper...

If that is an accurate bust, Cooper is dead, after his stint on a TV comedy show of course.

The tough one will be the Busch stadium jump. Stadiums are notorious for eating Skydivers, any wind at all and it swirls inside like a toilet bowl. Takes some seat of the pants flying to get in & walk away. Stadiums require a 'Professional Demonstration Skydiver' rating & they don't give those out for S&H Green Stamps.

YouTube has a few videos that demonstrate hungry stadiums munching on demo jumpers. Orthopedic surgeons love stadium jumps.

Be careful Airtwardo. I watched Jim Wallace abort a stadium approach before he reached the point of no return and land outside. It was the right choice.

Yeah...the then new Giants Stadium, right? - I gave him that gig because I was double booked that date, I was jumping pyro into a stadium across the country.

More to 'that' story than meets the eye...but that's a story I'll share with ya over a chilly one sometime. ;)

With my 1000+ demo's, and half being stadiums, some times I miss those days, then the old ankles and knees remind me why I slowed and eventually stopped doing them, then I do not miss it, too much (but I still do to a degree!).

For now, I will stick with my PD/LEO training, and fun jumping a few times a year, with the few ratings courses thrown in for the Mil guys (for free to them).

    Have some great jumps Brother!

I imagine the opening would be like the upward bounce on a bungee jump or something.

Not quite...with that canopy and that speed, it's more like jumping off a bungee jumping platform ~ with a log chain instead of a big rubber band.

You're essentially decelerating from what...about 150 mph to almost zero in two heartbeats.

    Ohhhhh scary jet jumps......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NVqVKwHmTA

See if you can spot the cool Canopy RW;)

Now here is what you call some shitful exits...http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=fvwp&NR=1&v=MCx8y9nIw5Q

Cool, MASSTAC over Sicily DZ, ah memories. (I was one of the last to make a jump from the last [tactically capable] C-141 to head to the bone yard, IIRC)

That wasn't real good CRW, proximity flying maybe.:P

It is fun reading some of the thread commentators "expert opinions" on the vid though. At least they are getting closer in comparisons, more like grapefruit and oranges now.

  8. If Cooper WAS a trained Smoke Jumper, or experienced Military Rough Terrain Jumper, he would NOT lower the money bag, that would chance it getting caught up, and he getting placed horizontally across the treetops, and landing in a more precarious position. I (and Amazon, Walt, etc) covered this a hundred-ish pages back.

I'll confirm the white canopy in the dummy chute, and Cossey did not pack it. I will also repeat that this is the chute Cooper used and he used it on his BACK! Listen to my words. This is the way it was.

    ____________________________________________

So, is it a dummy chute or not? I thought dummy chute meant training chute, stuffed with foam -- not useable. If it had a canopy, then wouldn't that make it a legit, useable chute? So, what is it? This double talk gets so confusing. I wished the experts (in parachutes and skydiving) would jump in (no pun intended) more often and clarify when we're wrong and when we're not.

    MeyerLouie

The note georger (IIRC) posted explains it. There are two types of chest mounted "dummy" reserve chutes. Foam packed, for body position drills etc, and canopy packed, for practicing the "Down and Away" deployment method. The note posted explains how the canopy in that second type of dummy would be modified to make repacking faster for more training rotations.

  • "Mr. Cline,

Thank You for your inquiry. Yes, we are aware of the webpage and its forum you mention.

No, there have been no leads from it that are pertinent to the case.

Yes, the Case is still an open and active case. There are no "front runners" as you mention, for a viable suspect.

It is true, we have had to apply our resources to more pressing and current cases, like the recent news you mention.

I will not go into details with you, but will agree with your assessment that the individuals you mentioned have not been helpful in solving the case and have had us moving in the wrong direction many times."

I just thought I would throw this out there, before CISPA become a law and all.

  • I hope it all works out.

If Duane was Cooper, then I hope the big holes in the theory will be detailed, if the FBI makes that their call.

If they can't, then we can never be 100% sure.

For me, there just isn't the evidence for it yet.

  • I"m beginning to think Knoss either hacked Jo's account, or they are now one and the same.:S

Robert B, I don't think your pull and extract from the stirs scenario bodes well for a seasoned, or marginally trained, Paratrooper, Smoke Jumper, or Skydiver.

Backing down the stairs seems like a person who has never jumped before. Plus, the hunched over comments don't seem to fit with my experience of 65lbs of chute on my back and 110+lbs of gear on my front, we tended to arch are back to try an stand up. Of course, Cooper didn't have that much weight on (That we know of) and would not be hunched by what weight he did have.

A side step might be the more appropriate method used, and has been discussed in Mil Working Groups as a good movement technique. At the bottom step, turn 90 degrees and freefall forward towards the tail.

Clear the A/C, 3 to 5 seconds, and pull, no need even to count. Exit, be stable, arch-look-reach-pull.

bruce, forget about being in competition with blevins. there isn’t any. he’s neurotic and facing little man syndrome. i’ve seen the DZ and its VERY evident. this so-called expert in everything who goes by 377 enjoys the roost. he knows nothing about db cooper. he’s just in the game to cause disharmony. that’s evident too. we know dormuth. no such thing that blevins states about mr. dormuth is true. dormuth is one of us and YOU are on the right path with the witness. keep digging. the truth will be shocking and its not coming from the DZ. you’re closer than you think. g’night.

The above has a lot of the earmark of both JT and Knoss.
Since Knoss has referred to the name Nichols before in irrational postings and in things he sent to me and told me on the phone.

The mention of Dormuth threw me a little there and made me think of someone who DOES not post to this thread.

The poster is trying hard to hide his ID and one of the crew came to mind along with our beloved Georger....I think this crew member and Georger may have talked over the yrs. The mention of Dormuth - is a key to the posters ID.

Galen Cook is also a good candidate for the post, because of his mention the TRUTH will be shocking and not coming from the DZ. Cook I believe reads the thread.

The statement "you're closer than you think" sticks out and tells me it could be Galen. No caps is an earmark of JT, Knoss and Cook.

Wonder if the co-pilot and Georger talk!

This is pure, unadulterated character assassination. How would you feel if someone only speculated publicly about your possible, alleged guilt? Unless you have proof or confirmation, you should not be doing this. It's so disrespectful, especially to those who have been publicly accused or humiliated and did nothing. I believe there is a law against this kind of thing. I'm not up the current laws, but the words slander and defamation of character come to mind. This kind of activity should have no place on this forum. It's a new low for sure.

You skip reading Knoss' posts then? I guess we should have all done that, when first entering this thread.:S

  • So, being curious by the MACVSOG/Advisor idea. I asked a former MACVSOG Soldier could one be "In Viet Nam" and not be?

His answer; "Yes" and he showed me a set of order showing him in the I Corp, as he showed me a picture in a photo album as part of a wedding party. Two locations, at one time, no leave forms or travel orders, just an assignment posting and a picture.

Today with the tech that may be a bit harder to pull off with out help.

    Hey Grumpy d00ds~

...ever hear about the time the guy that owns the site shut the WHOLE THING down for a couple/few days because he rightfully felt several certain individuals MUST be loosing their minds to be acting so idiotic on the internet?!

It was a good move in my opinion, got people to get away from the keyboard of hate and get a little perspective.

There REALLY ARE people reading through this stuff that are interested in the known facts as well as the possible theories...the idiotically childish bickering & blatant personal attacks add less than nothing.

They take away credibility and respect for anything 'else' you add to the thread of a positive nature.

Stuff on the net is kinda there forEVER, ya really want folks years from now paging through thinkin'

And we all know there is so much - so close to Cal City! :S
Get the directions to their "California City" skydiving. I can see it now: "Turn right, onto the SR58, to Rte 5 ...then it's only a simple drive (leaving OUT +/- 200 or so miles) to exit blah-blah, and follow the skydiving signs at the bottom of the exit. We're right off the highway". Friggen Skyride strikes again. [:/]

Yep. Skyride, and every one of their defenders said they turned a new page. In the AFF Exit I see Fort Campbell under them, that is on the TN KY border.

Any who still work for their DZ's and company, are still criminal, IMO. DZO's who still use their service as well.
