I like the exit shot where your diving out and you can see the reflextion of you all on the tailgate door.
All that water and you thought the landing area was tight?
You all are awesome!
Was it JW the other in the 3-way?

I would throw the shadow comment out, if you look to the left (right in the picture) a very simular shadow line is being made by the soldier there.
But I agree with Amazon, I think he has passed on.

Yeah what Eric said, you can put on the long underwear and add a few to the list!
And make sure we have warm weather for next weekend too!

OK now I know the context.
Tandem I's and the Videoagraphers they work with usually work out an exit count that is easy for the two of them and some times missed by the new jumper when watching videos.
The "OK" may be some small signal that you might be missing, it could be as suttle as eye contact. For me and the ladies and gents I work with they look at the pair of us (Student and Instructor) as soon as they are set. As soon as I am ready I then look them in the eye and that is my "OK", but I still yell it too!
The "3" is the "GO" and it is usually, as you stated, a simultanious event.
This count is kind of universal with maybe a word change here and there.
For example a very succesful RW team uses a physical count (as most do now) but whe nverbalising it use these words "OK, Ready, Set, Place", the place is "GO" but it also reminds them to "Place" themsleves in the air for the first formation.
Do I have you completely confused?

Not sure what type of videos your watching so I can not make a educated guess.
But I will make a SWAG guess.
Your probably seeing videos where the count is some thing like "OK, ready, set go!"
OK = just getting all in the jumps attention and means "OK, count is next"
Ready = is 1
Set = 2
Go = 3 and your leaving on "GO" it is a simultanious action/verbalisation.
So it may look like a "2" count and your not seeing the "OK" and "GO!" parts, but it may actually be "4" count when you add those two parts.
Make sense?

Check with Buddy Blue or Pete Cullbreath at the Opelika Skydivers Association DZ. If they don't have the answer then there isn't one.

Quotefor a VA accredited course (should a tunnel or skydiving rating become such) is taking away from you as a proud American and a law abiding tax payer? No matter how long or short that career may be.
It doesn't take away from any one. The various bills and TA funds out there already pay for numerous trades to be learned.
As soon as the Skydiving Industry and/or Tunnel Industry gets acreditation/certification I think it is good.
It would provide training and education for employement, which is what the funds are for.
So what if the reason is just to have a "cool job"? How many people think they have a "cool job"?
Hell I know I do!

Your describing a process that will involve "Side Sliding" in an Arc.
To do it you'll have to move side ways while keeping a bit of positive leg input so as to "carve" around the target.
First master "Side Sliding", then add the "Carving" portion.
Ask Vince (aka "DOC") how at the DZ next time. I am sure others can help too.

It could be a good pick for you.
The extra Height will help in the bust as well as the extra room that was for the heavier previous owner.
It is a good idea to use a good rigger or tailor who has woirked with material of this sort and has the threads you'll need to make the alterations last.

Skyhook uses an RSL to make it all begin, in the cut away of the main and extraction of the reserve freebag situation.
An RSL, not in a Skyhook device, only pulls the Reserve Pin in the cutaway main situation.

QuoteI have a similarly loaded Velo to his, although mine is a "big" size. The last ride I had on it, the canopy went from "oh, line twists" to "holy shit!" before I could grab my risers. And I was on my back and had made a complete revolution before I could bring my hands back down to my handles. I never got a chance to unhook my RDS, then again it was above the twists.
So yeah, he probably rode out a tension knot, unhooked his RDS and stowed it. Let go of his risers and geeked the camera before chopping.
WOW! He is bad ass!!

Well good for the Jury.
Now both sides of the Isle should wake up and fly straight (doubtful I know).

"The report tracked donations of $200 or more. It found that 859 members of the military donated a total of $335,536 to Obama. McCain received $280,513 from 558 military donors.
Among soldiers serving overseas at the time of their donations, 134 gave a total of $60,642 to Obama while 26 gave a total of $10,665 to McCain. That was less than the amount received by Republican Ron Paul, who collected $45,512 from 99 soldiers serving abroad, the report said."
It is not a large number sampling and my next question has a sampling that is even smaller (2). How many of the donations where done on behalf of a service member overseas?
I didn't see any thing in the article about that. But recently when doing a scout for an upcoming shoot we ended up some how on politics, the two spouses said they each donated to Obama's campaign on behalf of thier spouse over seas, because he promised to bring them home.

QuoteShooting a H&K MP5 is much easier
I think the MP5 is harderto shoot as it needs beter technique. It is lighter and thus makes some think it is easier, but being so light it can rise quickly and get out of control faster than a heaveir weapon.
On the original topic, and 8 year if trained properly can shoot just like any other small bodied person, but unsuppervised or untrained is plain stupid.

As others have said maybe it is just to get used to the thread through style leg straps most up jumper rigs have.
I have seen a B-12 left unsnapped then in the rough handling of the rig the snap grabbed the reserve rip cord, then the rig needed to canopies re-packed.

That does help to have a packed rig!
Where I jump we reutinely work together, T-I's and Packers, to set each T-I up with the rig they would like for the next jump or two. Rarely is it the "jump what is packed" answer.

The Pro-D is very close in size to almost all the others. I used one for about 11 years and never had any issues. Audibles are a great back up altimeter.

Quotegiving an instructor the maximum amount of tools
Tools, I think, is the operative word here. Canopies are Tools used to get the pair back to the ground safely so they can go back up and jump again.
We need to educate not only our selves but the next generation of Instructors on the various tools and their uses.
A Hop 330 may be a great parachute for a high wind none turbulant day with a light student, but it may not be a good canopy for a low wind, thermal turbulant day with a heavy Student. The educated Instructor will pick the rig off the rack with the more fitting canopy.
We do not need to regulate the use of tools just educate how those tools work in various situations.
