Well, after reading the FBI web page, and the numerous pages of dribble here, and a short visit to the other pages out there about this, we still have no viable, or even new none-viable, suspect/s. Not only does it "modify the behavior" of the Cops, but of the people as well. There have been a few cases of Police Brutality reversed when the Body Camera, and or Dash cam has shown the truth. I may have missed the post in this thread where LAPD has a District using the cameras as an experiment, it has reduced the reports of brutality by a significant margin. Also, the test program has shown that in reports that have gone forward, nearly 80% (iirc) have been unfounded. I have a contour and a smaller body cam that I try to use when not on the dash cam. And I always use an audio recorder to back up, the car's recorder. And I tell every one I interact with, "Remember, everything is recorded these days". I find it amazing how nice people get when they know they are being recorded (cuts both ways, yes it does), and only the truly committed to their cause keep on with what ever action they had going on. In a normal court proceeding, an act of holding back evidence tends to make the "holder backer" look guilty. It is also punishable, Why not in this case? (in the public and media eye at least) The finding was made, and they acknowledged they did so, even with out all the evidence they requested. So, not an actual truthful finding. Now a member of the staff for the State Dept, has reported that State did destroy documents (Evidence) requested by the committee (which could have changed the result from inconclusive to a conclusion, be it either way), and it hasn't been refuted yet, correct? This will be like any other "event" in this and past Administrations. It will be beat up over and over, mostly for politics, and some where the truth will eventually be known, but only by those who ignore the politics and sift through the actual facts. But, my understanding of iv and v, is that the manufacturer has the discretion and won't approve your completing the course with out the Physical. So is it spelled out and perfectly clear? Nope. But, I think Tom answered it, as well as who ever it was who quoted an FAA rep.
