*Edited to add. Writing that last line made me flash back to 2004 and waiting eagerly for 4 months for my new birdman PANTZ to arrive and being so excited when they came that I wore them for the rest of the night.

Dude, if you still have the Pantz around and they are in some kind of airworthy condition, I´m willing to swap them for coordinates of handful of very secret and exclusive SD jumps around CH! Contact me for details! :D

Bring him to the Zürich SD 42 meter cliff jump ;)

  2. hahaha, classic.
the first time in about 5 years I open the speakers corner forum I see a poll where 58 are for Hilary and 105 are for Donald :-)
Now I know again why I don't read this forum if this poll reflects the political position and intelligence of the people who post here :-)
Hilary is not the best choice in my opinion but believe me dear mericans, Donald is a very bad joke, clown, psychopath, extremely stupid, racist, sexist, dangerous (because of the combination of stupidity, narcissism and lack of education) and a bad joke (did I already mention this?).
Dear Mercians, that Donald made it that far says a lot about your country. I am more scared of the USA than of the whole Middle East.
If Donald is elected, it is like giving a loaded gun to a toddler, which maybe seems not a big deal for most Americans anyway :-)

There's one thing wingsuiters like less than speedflying, and that is videographer wannabees spamming unrelated forums with their shitty videos in a bid to somehow be famous, or something.

Stick to the speedflying forums and stop spamming us, or if you really really need to do forum posts to get anyone to watch your videos then put them in the bonfire section.

    I like the video.
But I'm not a Skydiver, I'm a Basejumper and we are a bit more openminded than the people who jump out of airplanes... ;)

No, they only flew out, the video is reversed to make it look like they flew in. At least I think that's what happened.

Hey Sheldon, that's called sarcasm... ;-)

If you don't mind me asking - why?

and: how many flights you have on each suit?

It sucks to lose a prop on an octacopter, too.
The issue isn't just losing the prop, it's also dirt/debris in the motor.
I'm glad they found/fixed the problem fast.

Did you get a chance to look at the dji camera?
What would you say if to compare it to a gopro Hero 4?

Have you replaced the prop locks on your Inspire yet? Or did you receive one of the recent models that included them?

They where sent with the Inspire.
It would suck to loose a prop on a quadcopter :)

  8. I also have a dji F550 with the dji Zenmuse gimbal which I also use with a gopro Hero 3+ or 4.
Unfortunatly I get stabiltiy problems with my F550 if I rotate around the axis.
but my newest toy is a Insprire 1 from dji with there own 4K camera and a 3d gimbal. up to now it works only with the dji camera but I'm sure they will bring a gimbal later on that works also with gopro.
but I'm acutally more happy with the dji camera then with the gopro. the problem of the gopro is that the horizont is round (I don't know the english term for that) which is actually bad for vid and pics with a drone. The camera from dji corrects this very nicly.

    Thank you, Alejandro

  11. all this angry and mean discussion on the internet makes me a bit sad:(
why can't we all just be friends (on the internet) and love each others.

I think I will go out an make a jump in my Vampire Race, that will cheer up my day :)
Happy jumping weekend to everybody, over and out

Also as for PF zippers, I jump in FL and in 90+ degree heat in 90+ % humidity, ease of getting in and out is kinda a big deal. I'm not bendy enough to put on a PF suit standing (I can but sitting is much much easier) and at the very least, getting in or out of a Tony suit is much faster and easier.

    skow

I think he meant putting your rig on with wingsuit already attached. Not attaching WS to your rig.

I'm not bendy and I would consider myself as clumsy but I can put on all my pf wingsuits standing on one leg on every base exit I jumped so far ;)
I’m sure with some minor training it won’t be a problem anymore…

  13. I did some jumps without fins (mostly on skydives) and some jumps with the fins.
I feel very comfortoble without the fins.
But on very agressive turns you feel that the fins help. The legwing feels a bit like on rails.

You have a rubber cord inside your legwing which you can pull and it'll keep the legwing up until it's pressurized.

Whoa! Really? Is it a magic cord? Shit dude, I'm glad you posted, I had NO FLIPPING IDEA. Can you send me a video of how it works? I'll be sure to test it out on my next jump! Is there one for the arm wings that can prevent them from deploying too? That way, I'll never have to worry about the spin happening again! Where the hell were you 3 jumps ago man?

***seems to me that people are trying to help you and analyze mistakes you made during the jump

Really? Is that what you're reading? All I see is a bunch of egos floating around that need to make a point to some noob that isn't qualified to be jumping this suit according to them. EVERYTHING that's been said, was said in my first post.

Now I'm just being a dick because people can't read, or use common sense. I'm making this thread fun for ME now.

I feel sorry for everyone who acutally took the time to answer you... If you already know everything why do you post it?
I'm not an expert but to sum it up what I saw in your vid:
Crapy shitty exit and lack of skill to recover quick.

    In and out, bye...

Back in the "old days" most folks were smart enough to recognize that being hyper efficient in a small suit was the first of a few indicators that they were ready for mattresses. Nowadays, everyone learns basics in a small suit and then flies like shit in a mattress, with zero fine skill ability. Most fly with brute force, zero finesse. You might be an exception.

the trend we see in BASE is even worse... People suck in smal suits and do to that decide to go for big suits because they think they can improve glide, speed, overal performance etc. But I don't know if this applies also for skydivers...
