I can understand your feelings. A lot of it has to do with egos. The voice of Bart Simpson is a butt ugly woman who thinks she deserves 1 Million dollars per episode FOR VOICE OVER WORK! The character voices threatened to strike if they didn't get damn near that per episode. This happened about 3 years ago. When sales are up, egos get big, and quality along with work ethic declines. Still... I'd rather watch an overbloated, sold-out episode of "The Simpsons" instead of a tiny loud mouthed black man who is pissed off that he "had" to host the Oscars.

Now that I've got your attention, Whats up with the Simpsons! I'm looking at my TV listings, I guess the brainfucks at FOX feel that "Independance Day" is going to draw better ratings than a new Simpsons episode. Isn't that movie over 10 years old now? Hell, I'll settle for a Simpsons re-run but I guess I'm stuck watching Mohamed Ali battle alians in this piece of crap movie! I'm finally starting to understand why people bash the FOX network. The network has no identity, every show is syndicated. They make really bad decisions with thier few longtime hit shows. No wonder all their shows keep getting cancelled! except "That 70's show"!! Those kids are starting to look a little old to be in high school! Die FOX!

Dude, give it up. They have had a cure for AIDS ever since AIDS has existed. Think about it. What other Virus exists that takes 5-10 years to show any symtoms? Clearly the Virus was designed to infect as many people as possible without them knowing about it. The money is in the treatment of AIDS. Ever notice how scientists are always looking for treatments, ever wonder why they don't bother with vaccines or cures?

Yes, it was 100% preventable. The canopy pilot flipped himself upside down in his harness to get a cool camera angle. His foot got caught in the suspension lines and caused a hard turn. When he chopped his main, his foot was still caught in the suspension lines. His RSL activated his reserve before he could seperate himself from his main which only made things more complicated as you could see in the video.

Prozac? Seems to be the cure all these days. Isn't it wonderful that we live in a society that can solve all of its problems with a trip to the pharmacy. Maybe you should do some research on what Prozac really does to your brain. To put it simply, Anti depressants are like adding NOS (Nitro) to your car engine. You may be living large for a few years but you'll fry your brain in the process. This is your brain on drugs.

I can appreciate the sentiment of your post. However, I really don’t share your positive outlook on life. Not everyone has what you have. It may seem difficult to understand why other people view the world in a negative light. Being positive comes naturally to you. Being critical comes naturally to me. fair enough, but I see each moderator with their own list of hangups. Different issues piss off different moderators. Why not have a full time moderator for each section. Instead you have 30 or 40 moderators that float between "Bonfire" and "Incidents" and seem to get confused about the context of the conversations.

Why are so many threads being deleted and/or locked by the moderators? It seems to be getting a lot worse lately. While some threads are allowed to degenerate into heavy personal attacks, other threads seem to get locked by the slightest hint of a controversy. This would not bother me as much if this form of censorship were more consistent. If the moderators had specific guidelines to locking and deleting threads it would work out more fairly. I have never seen a website with this many moderators.

You should test your pilot chute AFTER YOU GET THE CANOPY IN THE D-BAG. While you were getting the canopy in the bag, you probably pulled your kill line out a couple of inches which is why you should always check the P/C afterwards (just before closing your container). If the kill line was shrinking, you would have known this ahead of time, had you tossed the pilot chute into the air (for testing) it would have remained collapsed.

I've slept in trailers that had the big propane tank with that screw on heater grille they sell at BIG 5. It looked pretty safe, no open flame, just a red coil. Is this dangerous?

I've never seen an Icon that looked that bad. Bummer, I was thinking about buying one. Your container is sized for a 168 main/175 reserve but it looks big enough to hold a 210 main/reserve. Geez! I don't blame you for questioning the appearance. How big are you? Maybe you have extreamly wide shoulders and need the harness to extend wider around that area, this would explain the gaps. The reserve pack job looks very sloopy. If my rig looked like that, I'd ask them to repack it. Lets see some pics of you wearing the rig. edited to add: I just looked at your pic again... Is your main packed in there? It looks a bit loose down there.

OK, fair enough. I just cross referenced every dropzone listing on DZ.com with the "Group Member" listing on USPA.ORG and found one! thats right one DZ that is not a group member, the "Parachute Center" in Acampo, CA. It's only 350 miles from LA with a 5 hour drive! The only "non-group member" listing in Southern California is Air Adventures West in Taft, which hasn't existed for 2 years! It appears that I'm not the one living in a fantasy world. If every dropzone is a Group Member, I'm stuck paying for membership which makes USPA a monopoly. Maybe its time for the government to investigate, the same way they did with Microsoft! Imagine having to belong to a "National Ski Organization" in order to ski anywhere in Southern California! Even though we own our own gear, pay our own tickets and have the experience, we still have to pay to play. No other sport except skydiving tolerates this, and that is because people are scared to question and only interested in fitting in with the status quo.
