  1. Since I'm out of contact with the normal reference materials I'm looking for the tensile strength of cotton 8/4 thread. I guess that CRS is setting in. Dave
  2. Well I guess I won't need to take a rig. But I'm not sure as to the wing loading requirements.Quote
  3. Business takes me to Turkey for a couple of weeks in April.Anyone have any experiences with the jumping scene around Ankara?
  4. One of the first jumpers I met after moving to SC. Will certainly be missed.
  5. Sorry to hear about Stubby. He spent some time in Cola SC before heading to Germany with Wanda and the girls. He made many friends and will be missed. Will have to find the old photos from the days in Lugoff. RIP Dave Douglas
  6. Riggers taking the moral high ground of the 20 yr service life by not packing a rig are just not willing to accept the responsibility of their job. Seems a bit hypricital when they willingly pack a 106 square foot reserve for a 200 Lb client when the TSO Label states a max weight which is neglected. Can't have it both ways.
  7. soak a rag in fabreze and place in the gear bag on top of a paper towel so the rag won't contact the rig re soak the rag as needed.Got the cat piss smell out of an old rig for me.

    IPT Axon

Having jumped the Axon for almost 300 dives I couldn't be more pleased. The openings have been so consistant I would not trade it for any other canopies I jump. Solid and stable in the air and lands real nice. Ready to buy another one. Downsize time.
  9. The MC-4 drawings do not show a grommet on the canopy near the bridle attachment. The MC-5 canopy does use a drogue controlled slider for the double bag static line deployment so perhaps that is the canopy you have. Check the part number on the stamp and that should be a clue. Quote
  10. Try North American Aerodynamics they make MC-4 and may sell parts. 336-599-9266 ask for Kathy Martin
  11. Parafoils are still available for accuracy from North American Aerodynamics in Roxboro NC. Sizes range up to 350 sq.ft. but they will build anything.
  12. A standard FXC can be fitted to the MC-4 reserve with a pocket in the reserve pack tray.FXC has instructions.
