Hey convention goers... Just wondering what all there is to do at the WFFC if you aren't able to jump. I don't have my A yet, but I still plan on going. I might even hafta go alone if I can't find anyone to take. Will I still have as much fun as I plan on even though I won't be able to meet other jumpers in the air? Even though I have few jumps, I can't imagine dating a whuffo! Especially AFTER I have experience dating one of the cutest freeflyers around! Sarah Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

-- I plan on going to the WFFC this summer--how's that for a boogie to meet people? And yes, I know it takes time, I am just a little depressed right now that the kind of guy I am attracted doesn't exist. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

Hey guys-- Just wanted to vent or whatever. Right now I just feel like I will never find the guy I really want--lately I have these dreadful thoughts that someday I will have to settle, for some guy who wears khakis and plays golf. Anybody else feel like the type of person they want doesn't even exist? Perhaps I'll just stay single the rest of my life. I mean, how hard can it be? I don't know...I guess it depends on your definition of hippie, right? A few people at school called me hippie and I would like to think I am a hippie/gypsy/free-spirited type of person; is there a name for that? They probably called me hippie because I wear tie-dye, hemp and beaded jewelry, have long, natural hair, wear patchouli ( only occasionally though, I have a love/hate relationship w/ it); I like to think of myself more as a gypsy-- I love motorcycles and traveling, and meeting people. Also, I do not have to own a lot of possessions to be happy. I don't know what you'd call me, hippie, gypsy, whatever-- I do know that I take after both parents a lot, and they were almost hippies--but were a little too young in the 60's to be considered one. My ex boyfriend inspired me to try freeflying...which I am not quite there yet, but that is my discipline of choice. I want to dance in the air with him sometime! S.C. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

Well,I am bored and haven't posted for awhile so here's a question or two. Sigh...2 more years of college left, then hopefully I'll be moving to either Cali or Florida...then I can jump year round!!! Does anybody here travel frequently visiting dropzones?? That's what I want to do after I graduate; however, I might be single. ( and young and female) Do you guys think this would be a safe enough thing to do? Sarah Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

Hey- things could ALWAYS be worse dude- try to be thankful for the things that are good in your life.I am sure you still have a roof over your head, you can still hear, see, smell and breathe right? And perhaps maybe you can afford to jump more than I can-- a broke college student. -
No longer dating a skydiver.... Not going to the dz to find dates....more like to JUMP! But hey, I think it would be the best place to meet someone. Sarah Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

One of the sweetest jumpers I've ever met was a 50some yr. old guy. I would love to jump with an old timer! Sarah

Hey Peaches-HAHA! Let me know what your new dz is like. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

Actually, I really enjoy the older crowd that skydiving attracts. I once dated an older, welcoming skydiver who helped me feel more comfortable around them. But this guy was different....he answered all my skydiving-related questions before we dated! I just hope that older skydivers will still want to jump w/ me....if not, oh well Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

Most of the guys at dz's are friendly to me...I am just hoping that "certain" jumpers don't shun me or whatever...perhaps because I am female Sarah Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

ahahahhahahahhahahahah~! That's funny you wrote that about that kid and those commercials. I thought the same thing! Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

Yeah,it's too bad there AREN'T younger skydivers at the dz. Guess I'll just hafta pick an older one... Where are all the 20something skydivers...with facial hair....oh, and a motorcycle?! Sarah
-
Hi guys! This is especially for all you YOUNGER jumpers, mainly under 25. Do you guys feel that because the majority of skydivers are older (what, 30's-40's?), you are discriminated against at the DZ?? I once had some older jumper give me dirty looks when I came to the dz, what did I do? Anyways, I was just wondering if you guys notice older jumpers ( not necessarily more experienced, just OLDER) not wanting to start friendships because they think you are too "immature" or whatever. I think I am mature for my age (21) yet I am a little nervous about finding a home dz when I start to get my A license. Just because I am younger doesn't mean I won't make an awesome jump partner, right? Don't you think older jumpers like having young 20somethings at the dz, to add to the mix and make it more interesting? I guess I am a little anxious. Sarah

Welcome Back! Personally I hope that I'll never have to "leave" this sport ever, but since I probably won't become licensed for 1-2 yrs., I can only stare at planes flying overhead and be thankful that I discovered the sport at a young age (18!) and now I have the rest of my life to do it! Hmmm, I think I'm gonna be a pretty cool Grandma, jumping outta airplanes!!! Sarah Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

Hello guys- just for fun, just wanted to get your opinion on something. What do you think of tall women--attractive or freakish??? How tall is too tall for females? Sarah Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

Skydiving is so worth the risk! I don't even own a license yet, but I can tell you that right away I knew skydiving was for me, and I don't want to experience live without it. I am not afraid of dying, nor dying from skydiving for that matter. Nothing in this world worth living for comes without a heavy price. Enjoy the skies! --Longing to fly Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...
