I don't see it as being insecure at all; it's simply a way for couples to stay in touch with people, especially if one person is on more than the other. Ugh I am so sick of facebook, I see people posting pictures of things like the outfit they picked out for their kid for Easter or a new appliance. Really, who cares?!?!??! I'm going to delete mine as soon as I can get contact info for long distance friends I actually want to stay in touch with. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

Squeak I am doing great! But it has been far too long since I've jumped out of a plane :( Cocheese haha I remember that thread...and many other ones. I was so young and naive and you can definitely tell Piisfish I think* I vaguely remember talking to you on the phone...so sure why or what about Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

When you get married, you are committing yourself to that ONE person for the rest of your life. Introducing a third person into your relationship is asking for all kinds of problems. Thinking about my future, I'm considering finishing my psychology degree ( only less than 2 semesters) and possibly going to grad school in the distant future. What's grad school like? Is the GRE REALLY that* hard? I'm sure like me most of you who have gone to college at the undergrad level can agree that you don't really learn a whole lot. I'm wondering how much harder work it takes to do good in grad school. I was on the honor role in college for the first two years,but of course those were mostly gen ed's. So what's it like?

Oh girl you're not alone! Most of those things you mentioned are kinda shallow and are a waste of precious time. I've never been into most of that stuff either, but then again it may have something to do with my religious beliefs. Anyway, if you're anything like me, you probably see the value in more important things in life, like building close relationships and spending time doing rewarding things like volunteering! Sounds to me like you need to love who you are, you are on the right path.

Yep, I agree with this too; but I DO believe that for men it is respect, for women it is love. Any man disagree? Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

To clarify, I DON'T think love and respect are mutually exclusive of each other. I was simply wanting to focus on men and respect; the more I learn everyone seems to focus so much on love but forget to focus on respect. If I do all these lovey dovey things for my husband but yell at him or do something behind his back, I am not showing him respect which pretty much negates all of the lovey-dovey stuff. IMHO.
