  1. Hey, you're on a low number of jumps at the moment (but that will soon change), so you're not going to be relaxed falling out of a plane -t'aint natural! - Give it time and as other have said - SMILE & enjoy. 2. Hi Ian.... nice question(s). One reason could be that people are trying to find out more about a subject and asking many people & thus getting many answers. Then if someone elses advice, which differs from yours, is acted upon, then it may appear that yours is being igonred.. This might not be the case, it simply appears so at the time. I guess that maybe you should be proud that someone thought highly of you enough and sought you out to ask for your opinion. It's really good to seek as much help as possible and then make up your own mind, ...... dont you think? (.)Y(.) Chivalry is not dead; it only sleeps for want of work to do. - Jerome K Jerome

  4. A capwell is a 2 shot release mechanism, one on each side, that held the risers to the harness. You needed to lift covers on each and then "tug" on a release wire, which activated a cam that disconnedted you parachute. You had to release both sides (and pretty much at the same time) to get rid of the main. - the 3-ring chops away both risers at the same time - A BIG thanks to Bill for that one. The reason peole dont jump round reserves is all down to Air Speed. Rounds dont go very fast and so they can not penertrate into wind like a RAM -Air canopy, so on windy days, your ground speed can be high (and backards) under a round. Also, they're not very steerable. F.Y.I : Paraglider pilots fly with round reserves, becuase they do not (tend) to be able to cut away a malfunctionling ram-air glider and 2 ram-air canopies flying from the same harness is really bad news. 10. My dream would be to be able to jump a canopy with the [glide] performance of my Paraglider. So I could free fall for a minute then catch a thermal and fly for an hour or more. - Heaven 2 of my sports in one hit. What would be even better is if the canopy was my Tandem PG - sharing would make life almost perfect. Blue Skies (with nice CUs). (.)Y(.) 13. NO! - The biggest problem is that we are in SOMEONE ELSES country beating the shit out of them (and have been for over a decade). Hardly a day has gone by since the end of the 1st Gulf War(?), that we (or people in OUR name) haven't bombed them back to the Stone Age (gosh we should be soooo proud!). The Coalition of the Pirates and Muggers should NOT be there. (.)Y(.) Chivalry is not dead; it only sleeps for want of work to do. - Jerome K Jerome

  18. Rule of law..... In the U.K (we tend towards.... )Innocent 'till proven Guilty .... so he would currently have the status of a SUSPECT.
