It boils down to maturity. Are you mature enough to accept and abide by the recommendations in the SIM?

Let me start by saying I have no axe to grind (I do wear a camera sometimes but often don't .. as others have said the result is more often boring)..

Anyway there is an alternative (or rather an addition) to sucking it up and abiding by your SIM .. and that's to put forward a credible argument and get your SIM changed.

I wrote that last comment knowing that whatever I wrote would get me a flaming. I still love this place.

I'd re-read her post a few times mate. Consider demoing that reserve, hooked up as a main (if your CCI would even let you jump it!!).. It's really good experience flying a copy of YOUR reserve under ideal conditions.

P.S She never flamed you (some here would!!), but I think that you knew that.

  3. Game over? ... why? Where's your pioneering spirit?

Shit happens - always has, always will - but the project is a good one.

  4. You only give the option of one sport .. but I do more than 1 and don't class any as my main.

You only give the option of Acrobatic paragliding - so don't you consider normal mountain flying dangerous enough?

    No Hangliding?

    Needs more work, me thinks

***Where I go in Spain to fly paragliders, the car companies use the road up above Granada to test - they often 'camouflage' new models so that people can't easily identify them.

Is it a high elevation or something?
Mt Evans here in CO has the highest paved road in the country (~14,000'), so I can see why it would be a good place to test for altitude-related issues.

    I believe so

they are working on outriggers to be deployed so sliders can be opened while on the water
