  1. LOL. Youve confused me. Thats my e-mail sig, but I dont recall having put it on my website. Do I know you IRL? __ My mighty steed
  2. Id say I probably average 50 - 60 jumps per year when I'm doing it. I'd allow for a higher wing loading if I was jumping 200 times per year, but I prefer to err on the side of safety :) I hope I never stop completely forever, but I'll never be the 200 jumps a year guy. I just dont have the money or the time with everything else I'm always doin... __ My mighty steed
  3. Same here. I built a recording studio in my basement and a custom guitar building business in my garage. Took all my time, money, and focus for a long time. Fortunately, luck wont be a factor in my getting my weight where I want it to be. It tends to go up when I'm not paying attention to it, but I've always had the ability to dial that right back in once my attention is focused on the problem, and its now fully focused :) __ My mighty steed
  4. Yep. Now my wife can stop worrying about me having a heart attack and go back to worrying about me pounding it in at the dz ;) __ My mighty steed
  5. Yep. I jumped the jet at Rantoul in 06 as well. Last year of the convention... __ My mighty steed
  6. Howdy folks, Its been a while. I havent made a jump in about 3 1/2 years. I never made any conscious choice to quit. Life just sort of got in the way for a while. Lost some family members, started a side-business in addition to my day job, and quite frankly I allowed myself to get fat. Not too fat for my gear, just pushed up into a wing loading that given my experience and frequency of jumping was way too high to be able to jump with the level of safety that I like to maintain. Of course I could have upsized, but my own neurosis prevents such a thing. Buying bigger gear means I have accepted my new increased size and weight, and I wasnt prepared to do that. Anyway, long story short, several years went by before I realized it. I miss it though. I'm developing a real bad jones to get my knees back in the breeze so I put myself on a dedicated, consistent program and its already yielding good results. If I was 20 years old I'd probably try to lose it a lot faster, but I'm 51 years old and dont wish to damage myself by trying to crash diet 50 lbs off in a couple months, so I'm focused on reaching my target weight by the fall and get myself back in the sky. I dont really like summer anyway. Heat and humidity such and I always hated slogging back across the dz in a jumpsuit with my crap hanging over my shoulder and sweating my ass off ;) Anyway, some of you might remember me. It hasnt been that long. Glad to be back, and looking forward to getting my ass back in the air this fall __ My mighty steed

    Cigerette police.

I'll make you deal andy if you want to proof read my work for free if you want to I'll let you proof it for free befor I post it. There might be some positive benifit from that. But where would be the fun at that. Your not working for free your getting off on it. Was you one of the bullies on the short school bus to school? You send me a bill. Exactly what kind of cigarette are you smoking? If you ever hope to communicate with other people using written language you may want to up your game a bit __ My mighty steed
  9. The answer is irrelevant. Apply this same question to a million other things that people want but do not strictly need and the answers will change. Guaranteed. Why would anyone need alcohol? Why would someone need to jump out of an airplane? Our rights are governed by more than what we "need" to live. "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need" -Karl Marx Do people realize what kind of society they are pushing for with this kind of reasoning? __ My mighty steed
  10. I expect the OP was specifically aiming that at the places where someone quotes a person that posted a page-long message. I've wondered the same thing on occasion. I usually edit the quoted text and just leave the relevant portion. Makes your point much more clear. __ My mighty steed

Muffet came from a (good) breeder, Machiko and Jersey were rescues from the Bald is Beautiful Dog Rescue. They specialize in hairless breeds. They dont look much like me. They do have hair on their heads, I do not :) __ My mighty steed

I bought my very first rig from Arlo at TSO-D years ago. Best customer service experience ever. Went back for a second rig and Arlo was working elsewhere at the time but Marcello always gave me great service as well. I didnt know she was back there again. Arlo will take great care of you. If I ever buy another rig thats where I'm shopping. You cant go wrong dealing with them
  15. I searched and found lots of posts for iphone apps, but couldnt find anything about a good app to look at dz.com :) Anyone have any recomendations? __ My mighty steed
  16. Took me a while to overcome that. I felt it a lot during my first 40 -50 or so jumps. It was worth working through it for me, but everyone is different. I know another person that just gave it up because she has over 100 jumps and it still scares the crap out of her. I will say that to feel it at your level is 100% normal __ My mighty steed
  17. Envy :) I doubt the 727 or Constellation will ever be available to jump again, and the C-130 only happens for the huge-ways
  18. Same ones you have (only one chopper, though) plus a vintage Boeing Steerman bi-plane
  19. I'm gonna try again next year. Must do better! __ My mighty steed
  20. I still got the shot, just a few seconds late. I was initially focused on trying not to hit the sides on my way out and got slightly unstable. __ My mighty steed
  21. poor MF ? He has proven yesterday that he is a disgruntled jealous and sour old man. he was so ridiculous even the whuffo noticed How did he do that? I havent seen anything about him recently in the media... __ My mighty steed
  22. How is the stop and frisk justifiable anywhere in the US? The guy had a hoodie on and looked back at them. That was their justification for stopping the guy? Its a clear violation of his fourth amendment rights. __ My mighty steed
  23. Now thats just messed up. Didnt want to exit the bomb bay? It was tricky getting down in there cuz it was so dark but I cant imagine wanting exit any other way. it was a total blast. Clouds came in but they were above 5500, so we got about 5200 ft. Two passes, I was on second pass and got video of the whole last 15 minutes. Most fun I've had in a LONG time :) and its $450 now but was worth every penny! Some of its kinda boring, some of its kinda dark (in the bomb bay before the doors open) but here it is.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LgjR_NSSv4 __ My mighty steed
