  1. Its really your torso size that makes the difference. I'm 6'2 and I wear a D-21. So if you compare Lew and myself you have a 4 inch window of harness size & we're almost the same hight. ************ Watch out for planters.

  7. I'm going to pick up Trophies and Medals this afternoon for the 2011 season. This season is shaping up to be another great one and I've gotten a pretty wide response from Pro and Ama competitors who are planning on coming out. Some people start arriving as early as Wednesday(those with the flexible work schedules) Unofficial practice usually starts Thursday and by Thursday evening there's usually at least 5-10 out-of-towners. Friday practice is in full swing and people are showing up throughout the day. Usually 90% of the competitors are in town and jumping by end of day Friday. We use Sunday morning for the meet if needed depending on weather, logistics, etc. There are a number of people who want to leave to begin their drive home, or head to flights, so we usually call it by 1:00-2:00 on Sunday. Thats if we even need the second day. If everything goes well we finish on Saturday and do the awards ceremony in the evening. Let me know if you need any other info! ************ Watch out for planters.
  8. In cooperation with Skydive Spaceland and USPA, Performance Designs will be posting video updates from the event with competition footage. This will be daily or as time and the flow of the meet allows. They'll be posted up to PD's youtube channel. 9. Way to go Dave, Looks like the last meet was a good one! Nice turnout. Good job running the league Dave. Its a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it. You know your last act as League Director is to name your sucessor, right? And whoever you name is somewhat obligated to accept this honor that you've bestowed upon them. Alright Texas boys, who's gonna step up and keep the Taxas league going?? ************ Watch out for planters.
  10. Wow, thats a nice chunk of prize money! sadly it's pretty quick after the World Meet, and with only a month notice, i'm not sure how many taker's they're going to get. Hopefully they'll be up for doing it agiain next year and can get together with Klatovy and put them one week after the next...... ************ Watch out for planters.
  11. Thanks for the link and good luck with the accuracy today! ************ Watch out for planters.

  13. Ok, Ok I've heard them all before.... Mr Glass, Balsa Ankles, King of the Kripple club.... I'm just the guy who carries the crap around, if it wasn't for the judges, It would just be me playing around in the dirty pond with a bunch of pool noodles swimming around with my barking dog and you guys would probably all just laugh at me. wait... thats what happens now?!@? See you guys in a couple days ************ Watch out for planters.

  15. This was a fun one last year, wish I could make it again. Where else do you get a bunch of ladies in mini skirts and devil horns armed with red pitch forks on the sidelines of the course judging and cheering. Somebody give the Swoop Duvel ladies a kiss for me. Maybe next year.. ************ Watch out for planters.
  16. Good luck with the meet this weekend Peter. For all you nor-cal swoopers, get on out there and grow your league!! If you like canopy piloting, get your butt out there and make the league your own. CP meets can be infectiously fun. The world is run by people who show up!! Your never to green to start learning. ************ Watch out for planters.
  17. The Sleep Inn is the closest. Its relatively new. They also just slammed up a Holiday inn Express right behind the Sleep Inn. I think it just opened within the last couple months if not weeks. ************ Watch out for planters.
  18. Mot sure if Joe Abelin is in overseas or not. He's one of the golden knights. You may be a bit late for this one, but if you can get to Atlanta, Joey Day and Warren are driving down. We've got the new accuracy course set up and the speed calculations fixed to run all the new rules. Hope you can make it! The weather is kind of crappy today. Tomorrow looks windy, but maybe we can get a few in in the AM ************ Watch out for planters.
  19. the lines may be moved around, but the high score is almost in the same place. with that logic you better get out there and train the new speed calcuation as well. I'm gonna try and get the spreadsheets updated for the meet this weekend in z-hills. I'm gonna need a hand measuring out and marking the new accuracy zones on friday if someone can help. ************ Watch out for planters.

  22. It sounds like Paragear handled the problem effiently and effectively to me. Paragear ended the call with an apology"and I'm sorry about this" If you wait for every person in business who makes a mistake to get down on their knees and beg for your forgiveness, I am sorry to say, you will probably be disappointed for the remainder of your life. Instead of groveling at your feet, they were busy focused on fixing the mistake at no cost to you, with the exception of your time. From recieving the package on Friday, you had a resolution the very next business day, Monday. Sure they don't work on weekends, but not a lot of businesses do. And I dare to say that if one business day made your job fall behind schedule than maybe you should have started earlier or left yourself a more reasonable amount of time to complete your job or contract. Good job Paragear. ************ Watch out for planters.
  23. There were some alterations made to the 135 and above of the CF Storm(TC) and regular Storm(TF) to make the canopy a bit more friendly during the terminal openings with a fabric slider. Trials of the larger sizes went very well for general use and in the CF community. Some may remember playing with them down in Lake Wales a few years ago. During the release of the CF Storm, PD (with the help of some of the first customers) discovered that there were some adjustments that could be made that would make those larger sizes better for "hard core" CF guys and gals. The changes were made to the CF Storm(TC) and the larger sizes bump and grind like the smaller ones do. Flight characteristics on the website were updated as well. ************ Watch out for planters.
