  1. http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/this_britain/article351371.ece Paul's Dad.
  2. it took so long because we had to keep coming back to it, and didn't want to cause any damage. It will take about 10 mins to do back up...
  3. Now then sean, put your toys back in the pram. just because you don't like the chap doesn't mean you need to slate him everywhere you go. I feel that jump was successful - we didn't hurt anyone, we didn't damage the net (it took an hour and a half to unpick the line holding the nets together) - we were unlucky with the bust... Contrary to media reports, we were not seen on CCTV but by a volunteer police officer on a push bike. He alerted his colleauges via radio, and we were busted pulling out of the car park. We were released without charge as we did nothing wrong. As for burning the site - it's a high profile tourist attraction - the last time it was jumped, the same thing happened - all over the media (it's even linked in the BBC article), and they got away, so the bust wasn't a factor. I'm not sure how you would have done it any better Sean - your post just smacks of sour grapes IMHO. Love from the second jumper...
  4. Well, I had no luck jumping at Hinton - It's a straight 500+ jump rule there, no exceptions... I have 390 jumps, over 100 wingsuit jumps, and at the time I tried to jump I was down to do a 2-way with a BMI/PFI. Almost all other DZs are ok with it if you have 200+ jumps though.
  5. Apparently Cameron Diaz and Angelina Jolie also jump... not sure where or how many.
  6. Not quite so horrible - Yes I agree that people caught for crimes with a victim should be punished properly, a massive number of "criminals" who were caught with a bit of pot and get locked up is a massive waste of time and resources. Let them free and save millions. Paul
  7. chest mounted alti is pretty good. That or take the freefly route and have 2 audibles.
  8. Hi, Anyone got any experience or data to share about the performance of the new tracking suit from Pressurized? Check out www.pressurized.at Anyone have any idea how this performs vs. the Phoenix Suit? Thanks, Paul
  9. I managed 2:43 from 14.5, pulling at 2.5 - Flying an old classic 1. I'm 6ft and 85kg. I've not managed any decent times in the S3 yet as I've only got a few flights on it. Paul
  10. I can see the argument for both sides of the coin when it comes to unzipping whilst the canopy is coming out - the main disadvantage is that you lose control of your arm wings possibly before you have control of your canopy, and random inflation could cause you to roll - however I *personally* have had no issues dumping and going straight for my zippers - often my hands are free and on the risers while my canopy snivels. I've found that I have had fewer linetwists and surprises doing this, however I'm now dumping in full flight, and waiting for the slowing sensation before closing my arm wings. Just my 2c worth - I'm no BMI and I've only got about 80 w/s jumps Paul
