I dont know about the Unisyn harness, I've never worn one. I have a regular G3 and I definitely think the deluxe back pad is very worth it. It makes it reall nice.

I should be getting my new lotus next week and I've been reading the general owners manual from their website. It's got some great information. It states that packing volume will be about 5% more than a canopy of same size without airlocks.

yeah, it's kinda shady. They make you think your getting everything, but really, it's only the camera alone, no warranty, no battery, no cables, nothing. Turned out to be not such a good deal.....oh well....

I'm seriously looking into getting a MiniDV camera soon, but cant decide on whether to get a TRV or a PC series camera. Can you all give me your opinions on Top and Side mounted cameras. pro's and cons, your preferences and why, etc?

you know I've been wondering the same thing. I think the TRV-17 is the replacement for the TRV-11, just cause you can no longer find the 11 on the sony website. There must be some difference to justify the change in model, right? if you find out, let me know...

What's the cost of jump tickets for the boogie? Do they have canopy demo's there?

I"ve done 10 jumps on a Saber2. I have only put about 3-4 jumps on a spectre. I liked the openings on the Saber2 much better. I didnt have all that great of openings on the spectre. And I agree, I thought the spectre was kind of sluggish. The Saber2 was definitely zippy. I like it alot. It flew great, landings were a blast, and the glide was great.

This doesnt bother me. I got to pull my own reserve before the last repack and the pc landed about 12-15 feet awaw from the rig, so i'm happy. :)

I must say, that bonehead havok helmet, has to be the ugliest helmet I have ever seen. Are they even selling at all????????

Hell, that happened to me on my first hop n pop with a spring loaded pc. I pulled on my back and saw the pc come up between my legs. Next thing I knew, the canopy was open above my head. I think that this happens fairly often to newbies.....

Well I actually already ordered a Lotus 150 and I'll finalize my decision when I try the demo. They have a full money back guarantee. The reason they probably have not replied to your email is that they have been on the road for the past 3 weeks, at Quincy and such. Yes I do think it lands better than the Sabre. It levels out with less toggle input than the old one does. Makes for better surfs. I tried some snap front riser hooks up high and then leveled off as if I was landing, that was super fun, you can build up some real speed. Hey, Lisa, I'd buy it right away, only I'm waiting until I demo the Lotus 150 before I make my decision. The Sabre2 is definitely at the top of my list though.

hey everyone, just want to let y'all know, and yes I'm damn proud of it. I got the first Sabre2-150 demo off the line. I put 10 jumps on it last weekend and I must say I'm super impressed. The openings were really really really nice. It's got all the good flying qualities of the Sabre and more. light toggle pressure, decent riser pressure and great glide. Landings were really fun. No wind on a hot day at 6500 feet, they were fast but really swoopable. I hightly recommend this for a beginner skydiver. I was loading it at around 1.35:1

My girl is a Mirage G3 M4. Used to house my saber 170 but I got rid of that and now she's sitting lonely at home waiting for her new canopy. Probably a Lotus 150. Raven-M 181, Cypress and RSL (for now at least) sheeeee's so sad and lllllooooonnely.

I'm contemplating demo'ing a Cobalt, but I'm a little reluctant. I have 169 jumps, mostly on a Sabre-170. Looking to downsize to a 150 and looking for a new canopy at the same time. I am a pilot so I understand flying. I believe I am a smart canopy pilot. What do any of you who jump cobalts think? Are these very hight performance canopies? Or not quite so? Oh and SkyMonkey, nice pic in the new parachutist.

hey, my first clear and pull I deployed on my back and watched the pilot chute come up between my legs, that was interesting, next thing I knew I was under a good canopy. Second clear and pull, my JM wrote in my log book, "kicking like a bitch".

I started on a saber 170 with about 25 jumps. I weigh almost 200 out the door and that was fine for me. You'd probably be able to handle it just fine, being that you're only loading it at 1:1. I say gor for the 170.

I do believe they tapered the ends to help relieve toggle and riser pressure. I cant wait to try it, I am already on the waiting list for a demo. They told me it is going to be 3-4 weeks until they start sending out demo's. They are taking all the brand new demo's on tour big boogie's like Quincy and such.
