  1. Thanks for the replies, I have already looked in the thread about the camera helmets.. I have a 2KC FF2, but I have only seen pictures with bigger camera mounted on the top of the helmet. Eric
  2. Hi, Now is the time for me to install my little Kodak V705 on my camera helmet. I have noticed that most of you have it installed right above your eyes (forehead) and not on the top.. Sounds like a smart idea due to the small size of the camera.. However, I looked over this forum for pictures of camera helmets and could not find any pictures showing how you guys have installed the Kodak V705 on your helmets. If you are jumping with a Kodak V705, could you please upload a picture of your setup here.!? Thanks for all the help Eric

  8. So is skydive Ixtapa open at this time of the year???
  9. Hi, Do you know if Skydive Ixtapa is open this time of the year? The web site seems to be down. Thank you! Eric
  10. has anyone tried the new wingsuit by PF called the "stealth"? That suits looks great to me but also huge and similar to Tony's Super mach 1. It sure looks floaty but what about forward speed? I'm just curious to hear comments about this new suit. thanks Eric
  11. Hi everybody, I was in the process of ordering a new wingsuit and I was wondering if any of you guys have or jumped a wingsuit made with the new "parapack" fabric. It seems to be a little bit stronger than the usual fabric they were using. Does it affect flying performances if it's made of parapack? Why someone should order a suit made of parapack? Please let me know what you think! Thanks Rick

    Wind Turbines

Yep that is right, but what I was trying to say is that the wind mill can be shut down from an office miles away via a fiber optic network etc.. It can be shut down for any reason and can start at any time. Even when there is 20 mph wind, the blades and the nacelle can be pitched so it almost doesn't catch the wind. Then, the operator miles away, can clicks on his computer, the blades are pitching and it starts spinning like hell in a minute. I have been working on these a little while ago. anyone has nice pictures of a jump from a wind mill? Be safe out there and enjoy

    Wind Turbines

I have to agree with you on that, the sound is pretty cool when you open the hatch on the top and it's turning, It doesn't look like it from the bottom but sometimes it's rocking pretty bad up there.. The great thing about these wind mills is that there is no cables every 120 degrees. It can help in case of 180

    Wind Turbines

Most of the wind turbines installed in North America that are 80 meters towers are built with 37 meters blade. So when one of the blade is facing down, the tip is at 43 meters from the ground. I climbed these turbines many times and I don't think jumping while they're spinning is a very good idea. From what I can tell ya is that there is an important turbulence zone around the blade as well while in operation. If you climb one of these wind turbines, even when they are shut down, you need to make sure NOT to touch any buss-bar / cables running down towers sections. Also, because they don't turn doesn't mean they won't start turning in a second. It can be started from somewhere else so be careful. take care
