  1. Elsinore is a great place to jump. The otters turn all day long so there is almost always a load going up. Lots of grass and a big (shaded) packing area too. The load organizer's are great and can usually find something to include you in if you're visiting. They also have great camps to hone up your skills. It's easy to get to from the freeway, and your landing area choices are vast! "You can land here, or here, or here, or even over here...". Friendly staff and locals. Come visit :)
  2. Well, I have to tell you that Byron is one of the most beautiful drop zones around. It is surrounded by far off hills covered with those propeller like windmills. Big landing area, lots of grass. Extremely friendly group here from staff to regulars. Very laid back and lots of RW jumpers to play with. The winds are pretty consistent and make for wonderfully soft landings. Come check out Byron- it was a 7 hour drive each way for me to get there, and I wasn't disappointed.
