  1. SKYDIVE CITY/ZHILLS HOURS - 7 days a week in the Winter. From May 1 - November 1 Skydive City is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. I don't know if your trip will coincide with other Colleges Spring Break, but last year we had a large group of Midshipmen and Women come from the Naval Academy. In that period of time some of them started jumping and left with their A License and they are a great group! SKYDIVE CITY/ZHILLS - Celebrating 50 years of Skydiving!!
  2. ZHILLS REUNION - The "Reunionites" have already started to arrive on the DZ. It's going to be a great time to catch up with your "dear" friends. Rob and Mary Paley are coming from Australia. I just heard that "Dr. Ruth" is coming! Besides just the good time of visiting with your friends that you have not seen for years - we actually have some events planned. Wed Nov. 23 - Roller Skating Party at Crystal Springs Roller Rink then back to the DZ for pizza and hot dogs. Thursday Nov. 24 - usual Turkey Dinner at DZ with classic 10-way event. Friday Nov. 25 - 60s Dress Up Night - we have a thrift store setting up at the DZ so that you can pick out your favorite outfit, oysters and Reggae Band. Saturday Nov. 26 - Banquet Night - sit down dinner for 200 - buy your tickets at skydivecity.com. We will be having people talk from each decade - overflow will be a buffet on "Mobey Deck" - DJ for more fun!!
  3. The design on the front of that catalogue was done by Gary Graham. Do you remember Caledonian Graphics? They were a skydiving t-shirt store on the main street of Z-Hills. The shop was owned by Ian and Patty (rip) Graham. Gary is ian's brother. The design was originally a t-shirt.
  4. November 6 - 2010. A party/gathering for our Dear Friend Jerry Bird. An evening of fun and friends to honor Jerry and his induction into the 1st class of inductees into the Skydiving Hall of Fame. This event will take place at The Jerry "Bird House" at Skydive City, Zephyrhills, Florida. As the details form I will keep you informed. So far we will be having a band and an open bar for beer and wine. The open bar is sponsored by Sun Path (Javelin). We will have an open mike for everyone to tell their favorite Jerry Bird Story. All invited!
  5. Hey Steve - that building in the picture is still there! I drove over there the other day to check it out.
  6. I thought you guys would find this interesting . . . 2 of the skydivers in this picture are still jumping now at ZHills. That would be Sky Huminsky (sitting in red) and Phil Smith (front w/rig on in red).
  7. Pete Luter taught me to skydive - he launched the career of many famous legends on the east coast - Bungie and Dave Wallace, just to name two. I grieve for his family because I know he is very much loved!
