  1. did you ever sell your dbox? ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  2. Anybody heard about or seen one of these yet? There are supposed to be folks in Perris using them.... If you have a picture, post it...... Then again, this may be one of those gossip things that has made its rounds........... ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  3. Turns out the guy I bought it from was wrong about the size, it was actually a medium size. He refunded my money via PayPal and it looks like I will be buying a new dbox via Bonehead. Thanks everyone who tried to help ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  4. There is only about 1/8" of foam in the bottom. so that wouldnt help. I seem to be the only one with this problem so who knows....... ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  5. Well it fits everywhere except for the top and the height measures out to the same measurements as on Boneheads website for a large which is 4.75". No other Dbox is that tall with the measurements given on their website. What is the height on yours Dbox? ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  6. Anyone out there have the new style DBOX and are using a PC110? I just bought a used one yesterday cause the homemade one I was trying to make was too big. Anyway, the box I bought was ordered as a Large and is definately a large because the measurements match all of the measurements on boneheads website. The problem is that there is no way that the PC110 will fit in there. It fits perfectly everywhere except for the top which needs to be about 1/4" taller. I called Bonehead and talked to Linda and she reccomended that I take the top layer of foam out which I did and it still wouldnt fit. I am NOT complaining about Bonehead and I will say that Bonehead has excellent customer service, my Flat Top Pro Rocks and Linda is working with me on this DBOX issue. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem with the new style boxes and a PC110. ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  7. Man, that looks like CRAP! Why didnt you just go ahead and buy everything from Bonehead? Chris, BHC ***************************************** Just messing with ya, that is actually a pretty good looking helmet setup. Mark ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  8. Here goes, I built a homemade box for my PC110 to go on top of my Flat Top Pro. The thing is made out of ABS Plastic and is darn tough. The only problem is that it sticks up on top of the helmet 5 1/4 inches but the PC110 itself is 4.3/4" so that only gives me a little room for padding top and bottom. I could maybe shave off another 1/4" but that would be it. I am not really worried about the width even though I could have shaved it down another 1/2 inch. It seems like this may be too high on my head and since I will be jumping primarily from a king air, will this give me problems on exit and possible tail strikes? Just need a little help here in figuring out what is reasonable and what is not. Dont worry about the screws not being all the way in cause I used Gaffers Tape to temporarily attach the box to the FTP and I have not finished everything. Any and all advice would be appreciated. ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***

  11. Ok, heres my sob story. Right now I have a 9' X 8' office with a door and a lock but starting today, that all changes. Due to the nature of our work my workmate and I are having to move into the secure area of our building. Problem is, there is only 1 office, we have to share it, and it is 9' X 9' in size with gray walls and no windows. Basically, its much like a prison cell or maybe a little smaller and I stay in this office at least 8 hours a day. I dont even think there is going to be room for a cubicle or any type of divider so privacy goes right out the window....(if we had one) I really dont know how long I am going to be able to do this, is it just me or does anyone else out there feel like a caged critter. It could be worse I guess, I could not have a job or maybe be on of those folks over in India or China that work 80 hours a week for $2. So anyway, enough feeling sorry for myself and I will post pictures of our new home tomorrow or maybe even today if we get moved. Gray Walls! ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***

  13. Geeez guys, I had a meeting went to lunch got back to check the post and during that time the post turned into a "I HATE SKYDIVE CULLMAN" banner, give em two black eyes!!!. This was not my intention. What really ticked me off is that he was playing with my 2 year old son when the picture was taken. I cropped him out of it. I guess I should have given more details and I appreciate Chris taking up the slack for me while I was away. What I really want to get across is that you have to watch your back no matter where you are. So, if you see this guy show up at your DZ, Watch Out. More than likely he wouldnt go any further than Skydive Atlanta but you never know. Anyone that steals from people who he hangs out with, drinks beer with, and that trust him with their life should at the very least be blackballed from the skydiving community. Thats all I have to say about that! ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  14. You think you know some people and then, well, they steal DZ property and make your DZ Look bad. You wouldnt think you would have this problem on a dropzone but I guess it goes to show that the world is full of a**holes... ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  15. Ok, I am full of it but it is a good picture to use as a Joke and send it to all of your whuffo buddies. They will never even questionsit. ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  16. Skydive Alabama, even though were in the south it is still Freaking COLD!!! No, the image is not tampered with, it was taken in Mobile, AL. ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  17. Hey Mike, Just out of curiosity, why did you stop doing the $99 & $10 Boogies? Gas, Insurance, Competition, Inflation, etc....????? Never really did hear from anyone why you stopped, just one day it didnt exist anymore. Also, is the strip really paved, no more pushing the plane out of the mud from when it slides sideways on the runway??? Inquiring mind wants to know. ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  18. What I think happened is that somehow this guy hit reply to all instead of reply and then sent his email to everbody on the Mullins mailing list about how bad WTS sucked and everybody there sucked. Then when he found out what he did he sent out the second email which made him seem even more ridiculous.... ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  19. Now that I understand what is going on, here is how I feel about it.******** Mikes Airplane is awesome, started jumping at WTS in 93 and he is the only pilot I have ever felt truly comfortable flying with, I love the fact that he does not run a USPA Group Member DZ, I hate the fact that he quit the $99 boogies and $10 boogies, WTS lost its appeal after that, it made driving one way 41/2 hours not worth it anymore and yes Fast Eddie is probably money hungry as hell, been that way for years but whats wrong with that? As far as not realizing you just sent your personal scathing opinions to EVERYONE on the net, now that truly is PRICELESS!!! ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***

"michael farley" cc: Sent by: Subject: RETRACTION BY MICHAEL FARLEY 11/25/2003 11:21 AM Please respond to tnews THIS is to CORRECT any MISUNDERSTANDING all you may have about my COMMENTS. I got an Email that was directed To MIKE but must have as well went to all the LIST. I meant to make a POINT that alot of "DZ'S" today have by THEIR own mouth stated stated that a "MANDATORY" Tandem jump was required. This when I contacted USPA was disputed as a REQUIREMENT by the Organization. When I speak to nonjumpers I always express joy in the sport. But this is not every ones View POINT. I have Lived in 17 states and jumped most and seen alot where I would not return TOO!!!!!! I IN NO WAY MEANT TOO SAY ANY HARD WORDS OR MAKE ANY INSTRUCTOR LOOK BAD. MY INTENTION WAS TO SUGGEST THAT IF THE PERSON WHO SENT ME THE EMAIL OR ALL OF US IN THIS GROUP, TO ASK FIRST IF NOT TOLD ALL THE OPTIONS and too give thought to another direction if SHE HAD BEEN SOLD ON ONLY A TANDEM JUMP AS A FIRST JUMP RATHER THAN HAVING BEEN INFORMED THAT THERE ARE TWO WAYS SUCH AS STATIC AND AFF. I am not a news group member at any site and when I send out Email to people I select each person from my list of friends both male a female for content as some jokes are not for the LADIES. MY APOLOGIES TO ANY OF YOU WHO JUMP WEST TENNESSEE DROP ZONE AS IT WAS NEVER THE INTENTION ON MY PART TO DISCREDIT MIKE MULLINS OR ANY INSTRUCTOR who teach's at the "DZ". EXCUSE MY COMENTS AS WE ARE ALL ALLOWED TO REFLECT THE YEARS IN THIS SPORT AND THE DIRECTIONS DROPZONES HAVE GONE AND THE MANY CHANGES WHICH HAVE ACCURED FROM THE OLD DAYS.. 21. I Got this stuff in my email and maybe someone could explain it to me. Not really sure what happened but here are the emails. ************************************8 Hey, Farley, you just broadcast your anti Mike message through Mike's wesite to Mikes subscribers. I personally disagree with pretty much everything you said. EVERY DZ you go to wants your money. The difference is with West Tenn, and Mike in general, he wants you to be safe, and have fun. Get back to what it's all about. Tell me, if it's soooo damn important to you that a DZ be a group member, how is it that Mike is a National Director? I pick where I just by reputation and word of mouth, not by a website that gets paid to list them. Give me a choice between a huge Group Member DZ and Mike Mullins next door on a grass strip, and Mike gets my money every time. My 2 cents. 22. I checked out the bonehead site. The boomerang does not have any way to open the face shield which could result in an extremely painful descent if you need to clear your ears on opening. You would probably need to take the whole helmet off. Also, whats up with the little gap in the visor? The Havok did have a way of getting to your face but why would you want to flip the whole front of the helmet up and not just the visor? I have not seen either helmet in person but the Havok did look a little like alien ware..... Anyone have any thoughts or experience with the boomerang? ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  23. Sounds like Bonehead is the way to go. Someone suggested that I try on several types to see which one I like best. Being that I live in AL where could I go to try on Boneheads or any other helmet. We are not exactly the Jumping Capitol of the south ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  24. I am wondering what helmet would best fit me since I have a large bean. I did have an XL Z1 that kind of fit but my chin wouldnt fit inside of the helmet too well which kind of made having a full face helmet pointless. Are there any helmets out there that are better suited to large heads? All that I know of have one shell size and then different liners which just doesnt work for me. Help please, winter is fast approaching............ ***How come all the rich kids get to make all of the jumps?***
  25. If you want an Odyssey call Mike at American Skydiving Systems in Mississippi. He has some prebought slots and I had mine in exactly 4 weeks from the day the order went in. Of course Sunpath did complain a little, they wanted the orders in by 5 weeks. Thats faster than buying a jumpsuit at no extra charge.
