  1. Jerry blazed off this earth like a bright, shining fire and energy that could not be contained. August 14th, 1998 was a day of passionate emotion on all who experienced the impact of Jerry's passing. It was the loss of a great friend, husband, father and a future that will not be. Jerry's legacy is fully loaded with kindness and enthusiasm. A piece of his great personality exists in the form of his two little girls who are growing up each day. We hope they blossom with happiness. Blue Skies Forever, Larry, Annie, Olivia, Rosalyn & Luke "A family who loved Jerry like family."
  2. Hello! I've been so busy planning my wedding that I forgot to re-post about the WFFC swoop comp results. I updated our site weeks ago and emailed the competitors, but here we are.... It was a great day out on the pond. Annie & I were amazed with the turn out. WFFC was fun, but the huge thunderstorms produced from the heat wave in July surprised everyone. It was a matter of survival. The storms cleared, and the Friday sunset was beautiful! Zachary Mullins, who is 15 years old, swooped into 1st place! Karen Lewis followed in 2nd with her beautiful, bikini clad body. Jesse Martin placed 3rd! Ryan Clough, Rob Smalley, Bundy Taylor and Travis tied for 4th & 5th places. It was fun, and we're looking forward to next year! Check out the photo gallery... http://airzonextreme.com/news.htm Lots of water... in the pond & out
  3. We will be there... as always. Our 13th year. Sorry that our response to this thread was not sooner. We'll be arriving this Thursday evening, and the pond will be open for swooping for ten fabulous days! It's currently being smoothed out with lots of new sand. Our plans are to conduct a FREEDOM SWOOP COMPETITION on Friday the 28th. Three rounds will determine the winner. No registration fee. http://www.airzonextreme.com/news.htm Swoop footage from WFFC can be viewed on the "Xtreme Media" page http://www.airzonextreme.com/media.htm
  4. We're working on several different aspects that entails a "Wingsuit Challenge". Wingsuit flight and pilot abilities may change quickly over the months, so we want to keep our development of the challenge open and post details further down the line, along with the other events. For the good of the flock, the "Wingsuit Challenge" will include something for all flight levels.
  5. We are happy to bring you a skysurf competition at WFFC 2006! Please check out the attachment and our "Events & Places to Jump" thread for updates in the next coming months. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1868433;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;guest=16292513
  6. Thanks Ian. We're looking forward to posting all the details.
  7. AirZoneXtreme is planning a full fledged week of events for the World Freefall Convention 2006. This includes a skysurf competition, pond swoop events, wingsuit challenge, runway dance fit, and a swimsuit competition! Please see the attachment for now. We will repost when competition details are finalized and added to the AirZoneXtreme and WFFC websites. Blue Skies!

  9. Looks like our Skyvan is heading to the Pond Swoop Nationals. Just a two hour drive from the Pocono Mountains, our original stomping grounds! Looking forward to the weekend...Annie, Olivia, Rosalyn, & Super Luke
  10. Someone has a wild imagination. No fatalities at the swoop pond. A guy, who had not looked over the swoop pond landing area prior to swooping, faltered on his flare. His left foot took most of the landing impact, and it popped out of socket. He's on his way home and planning his recovery. So far more people are swooping the pond than ever. This is my favorite year in WFFC's new location of Rantoul. The crowd is small, but it really seems like a return to the good old days. Peace, Olivia
  11. We plan to conduct a competition similar to last year's. Because the convention is for everyone, we want to welcome those attending WFFC to be apart of the action with us. We've taken care of the swoop pond logistics at WFFC since Annie negotiated the pond to be built in 2001. This year, we are extremely busy with the movie industry. We are involved in producing ten major, motion pictures during the next ten years. This will be our 12th year at WFFC. Since our recent post, it seems that the majority of swoopers would like the pond to be completely open during most of week, therefore we'd love to have anyone who is free and would like to experience this with us during the final weekend to please join us. As far as the competition goes, our needs include: possible swoop pond & venue preparation, venue control, competitor registration and manifest, judging, and so on. Even if you're unsure of your schedule and can't commit, you're welcome to get together with us on location. Competitors, spectators, and crew are equally important to us, and we appreciate you all. Annie, Olivia, & Rosalyn [email protected]
  12. That's a great point. Don Kirlin likes the pond to be open. A swoop competition will be held on the final weekend as usual. The opportunity is still there for those who would like to participate in conducting the competition. Please contact [email protected]. Annie, Olivia, & Rosalyn
  13. Location: Rantoul, IL World Freefall Convention August 5th -14th Swoop pond dimensions: 200 x 200 ft, 40,000 sq. ft., and 3-4 ft deep. 4.5 ft deep in some areas, when pond is completely full. The swoop pond will be available in two day, time slots to those who would like to organize an activity, game, or competition. Any individual, who would like to put a crew together, as well as canopy piloting associations are welcome to utilize this opportunity. Just keep in mind that all those attending WFFC, who meet competitor requirements, should be welcome to participate in the event. The pond is open for swooping prior to and after the organized event. There is an organizer, entry form and guidlines to follow. For those who are interested and would like to put in bid for the available time slots, please email [email protected].
  14. Yes Dawn, thank you for the service you've done for Gus's family and friends. The website looks wonderful. Very thoughtfully done. Gus was a kind-hearted, talented person, and he will be missed. We are also thankful to be apart of the skydiving family. What an opportunity we all have to be born in this generation. Love while you can. From Olivia with Annie & Rosalyn
