  1. Me too.. To put some gasoline into that fire for the guys who are on the gunslinger´s side: If I want to kill someone legally, I just stand in front of his car at night, pointing a gun towards him and start yelling loudly "don´t move!". If he then starts to drive I may defend myself and shoot him? Okay, if he drives backwards, I may have to run around his car ... If he steps out of the car and runs over my lawn, I may use the stand-your-ground excuse? What would you do if you park your car or stop because you want to check your phone and as you look up, some armed guy is holding a gun? Makes me feel better to live in an area where this is not a common issue ... -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  2. ? you must have 200 Skydives and a C-License for a FJC but only 50 Skydives at the bridge? What do I get wrong here? Bit confusing... -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  3. As long as it is no speedstar.. now serious: get the grips, show the first formation, that´s it. once the last is out of the door and you show the complete formation, it counts. -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well

  5. I also used to climb out to the strut, holding onto it at the most far possibility what I could reach, while my left foot is on the edge of the step. this helped the jumpers or tandem to use the step/door for their exit. Sometimes, if I felt comfortable, I took the foot from the step as well, just hanging at the strut. With the camera either on the left side of my helmet or now on top, it was easy to see the exit-count and capture the jumpers on the hill. You also have clean air on that position, means: you´re not in the way of someone who just leaps ... Edit: look at those staticline-students, that is the position -more or less- I was talking about .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8ycPujL670 -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  6. Wouldn´t it be the best to directly ask Cypres? and then tell us here the results, instead of asking everyone from here about technical data/parameters/settings/ .. which (in my opinion) can only be answered from someone inside of the company. If you doubt that you will get an answer from the manufacturer, what do you think the community will be able to clearify? Not to get me wrong, if in doubt: ask .. but if I have questions about a new technical device which I REALLY want to be cleared, I would not go to a forum like this. With the answers to discuss that later on, yes. For the cutaway issue, this is a nice one to watch .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDm-tUA9RaQ -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  7. Exactly. you can read a traditional clock just by seeing the needles. Works from long distances and short, check it with a watch even without numbers on it.... Imagine a towerclock would show digits , could you read it from a distance?... With digits, you see numbers and you have to understand that.... At an analog one, if the needle goes to red it´s time for alert.... Not to get me wrong, I use my Viso as well. but I do not usually check my altitude during freefall very often. The digital Altimeter is small and I can wear it with a sleeve, that fits best to my type of jumps. For the angle of view onto an analog altimeter, that is right. It depends on the way how you look at it. But then you may train to look at your device in a proper way or mount it where the position is good to see (cheststrap?). By the way, if it comes to accuracy in measurements, you can have both with an Altitrack. It has some nice additional features too ... -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  8. Of course as we are Germans, we have a nationwide competition for that ... "Bundesweiter 2er Wettbewerb" See Divepool Works for Cessnas, Porters, Dorniers, Otters and many more -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well

    Cheap Pussy!

Imagine living there ... Can´t get the pics out of my head what those people do the whole day ... "Where are you from?" "Fucking" " I know, but where do you live?" "in Fucking .." " that sounds like Michael Douglas, Bro ..." The beer itself is made in Germany -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  10. Hurricane Factory in Prague is worth flying in.. Prices went up this year, but the chamber is great. Home of Mad Ravens Freefly Team and the Czech Female Tunnel - FS Team. 11. You are talking about Anders Breivik http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/anders-breivik-a-mass-murderer-who-did-a-nazi-salute-in-court-isnt-being-called-a-terrorist-why-hes-a6932896.html He bombed 8 persons dead in Oslo and shot 69, mostly kids, later on on an island called Utoya. He was wearing a police uniform ... The pic shows him at the police station, shortly after he was taken into custody. He did not just buy a rifle and went out, he was in a gun club and had a very violent history... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anders_Behring_Breivik -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  12. A job every day should give you thirty bucks or euros (not quite clear where you from). means: 5 tickets a week > 5 jumps at the weekend that´s not bad at all options: > more work or more risky jobs > more money > more jumps > find someone who pays for your jumps (maybe you are great in something else ..) > do crowdfunding and promise to give the money back after you became the youngest worldchampion in skydiving .. > dig for gold, diamonds or oil > invent something what everyone needs, like an app for broke people getting money .. > start a blog about your awesome life > become famous with your skydiving youtube clips > become a parachute-packer (already said) > dont´take advices too serious .. -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  13. So these guys will never have sweat in their eyes .... -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  14. Why not ? Because those are combat boots.. the jump-part with the owner is just the beginning of the mission. Soldiers are not known for changing their boots for every task of their mission. in sports-jumping, it is only sometimes combat. most of the times it should be fun. you can wear them, but the best ankle support is to learn how to fly your canopy well ... -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  15. Nope, just 1-click-research before giving advice about how to flare a canopy or something like that... -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  16. We are talking about Tandemjumps? (seeing your Instagram Pics, you did two tandemjumps at Skydive Surf City Santa Cruz?) so if you want to know how you should hold your knees during a tandem landing, follow your instructors advice. If you have weak knees, maybe a standup-landing is not so suitable for you. Tell him about that and he might go for a sit-landing where that should not be a problem. But as there are also hiking and travelling pics, I guess the knees should be no major issue ;-) -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  17. they can go up, even started from fixed points... https://jointheteem.com/sky/base/first-wingsuit-base-jump-southern-california/ look at 1.20 seems to be a small lift ;-) -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  18. just for me to understand ... at what altitude do Tandems pull? at what altitude do WS pull? How many seconds are between Tandems and WS at exit? What is the fallrate of a Tandem? What is the fallrate of a good WS-Pilot? How can a WS-Pilot manage to catch up to the frame where a) the Tandem is flying under a Canopy b) pull at safe height (estimating he is not wearing BASE-gear) at my dropzone, the first Wingsuits usually open when the last Tandems are so low that a flyby would not be possible.. I always thought that a good WS is waaaay slower in freefall as a regular jumper and has a different path to fly. But technically, how does it work? flyby on the very last second? -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  19. Sorry if i got you wrong, but in my pov, risers are a part of my lifesaving device, called rig .. ( > hyperbole?) if you feel confident in replacing risers with all the stuff that belongs to that, okay. Then you are smarter than the most guys I know with a couple of hundred jumps. How does it come that the risers are in that shape ..? I still would suggest to ask a rigger ... at least for a cross-check... -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  20. Top! That´s exactly what the story is all about. Like one Videoflyer from a big commercial DZ told me: Their head has to fill out the screen, don´t try to impress the passenger with your most acrobatic moves. It is their jump, not yours.. They should look like heroes.. -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  21. don´t get me wrong, everyone is free to purchase everything he can.. My thoughts were: 140 jumps, A-license. buying and installing risers .. (you know what that means with 3rings, cutaway cables, connectors,...) could become an incident report next month... -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  22. if it is packed by a rigger, problem solved. lazy enough? you know what skydivers do to "save" money for repacks or if they are eager to jump on the next day.. ;-) (I give that to my rigger next weekend ...) stuffing material into the container with "a little help by your friends" isn´t that complicated.. the smart guys don´t do that, the stupid guys do everything ... -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  24. Show up at your rigger. He should know how to act. Just my 2 cents: if you state that important parts of your lifesaving devices are "worn to shit", maybe a general inspection or a newer gear should be considered. -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
  25. Just thinking about that scenario: the rigger inspects it and repacks it on monday, placing his seal on that. The guy jumps his rig on tuesday, has to cutaway and uses his reserve, then packs it himself or gets a packjob from someone (just in case). no DZO would let him jump that on the same DZ, right? So he shows up at a different DZ and says: "broken seal? hey, what´s the problem? It has a repack done on monday, so what?." calling the rigger will not prove that it is his packjob.. So in my opinion it is the method for DZOs to check who has packed the reserve and just imagine that the next jump would end up in a fatality. who has to take over rensponsibility? All eyes on the guy who filled out the packing card ... -------------------------------------------------- With sufficient thrust, pigs just fly well
