  2. SPACELAND'S WOMEN'S TEXAS STATE RECORD ATTEMPT @ SKYFEST 2007 Are you a girl? Want to make history with us again this year? If you want to be a part of setting a new state record by completing a 2pt. 32-way, let us know! The WOMENS TEXAS STATE RECORD ATTEMPT will be Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Skydive Spaceland during SKYFEST. Come join the fun! Scheduling for the event is as follows - SATURDAY JULY14TH 3:30pm: Be ready to work on the organization and dirt dive for the first of two record attempts. 5:00pm: Make the jump 5:45pm: Celebrate like a bunch of mad women OR debrief and get ready for another go. 7:00pm: Second attempt These attempts will be formation loads of either two Otters or a SkyVan and an Otter. I'm also looking for girls willing to do some 20-way formations so a lucky guy can get his TeXXas Pink Patch.   6. Just a SF update: The casa, caravan, and super otter are here now and flying. We're doing POPS 70 way formation loads this weekend. We will continue flying all next week as you and the rest of the fleet begin arriving. Come early! The weather forcast is sunny and 90 degrees. Everyone grab 1 other skydiver and bring them along and we can break all SkyFest records

  8. Hello everyone. We just wanted to get the word out to all the World Team Members that there is going to be a 150 Way sequential event to be held at Skydive Spaceland, Houston. Texas. on April 19th-22nd, 2007. This is NOT an "Official" World team event but the following Captains will be leading the Teams. Kate Cooper, Larry Henderson, Tom Jenkins, Lou Tomasso, Jack Berke, Jim Jenkins, Roger Ponce and Harry Hopkins. Scott Latnis will be the Captain for our Alpa Team.   11. Just an update....... I just returned from a visit to MD Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Childrens Hospital, where I had the privilidge of greeting some very sick children while in the company of some legends of the skydiving industry. Namely, Lew Sandborn (D-1), Larry Bagley, Mary Lou McGlaughlin, Tom Zukouskie (Top Pop), Bill Wenger, John and Rose Goetsch and a few others. We greeted the children with easter eggs, bears and assorted toys. Their expressions were priceless. Many thanks to Conrad Jones and all his efforts. All this joy and the meet doesn't even start until Saturday. See you all there. Dont miss this small piece of history......Well, off to Ellington Field to pick up the Air Force Cadets.

  17. I am very happy to report there was no damage or flooding at Spaceland. In fact there was very little rain. I will be returning with the otter as soon as tomorrow. There is a temporary flight restriction over and around houston, including Spaceland. I will see if it is effect tomorrow morning and deal with it one way or the other.   19. FYI- I've decided to stay in the Atlanta area until the storm passes. Just so happens I have a Super Otter available for the weekend that will be parked in Atlanta. If Greg needs help have him contact me. Steve Boyd
