  1. Hi all, I'm looking for a logbook that has more than 6 jumps per page, have looked on paragear etc but can't find one! Any ideas...??
  2. yeah, but like , er isn't skiing just like dangerous- who would be crazy enough to go down a mountain on a couple of sticks at 100mph - doh!!!
  3. yes the magic roundabout was good, did you ever see chortle and the wheelies, and how about jamie and the magic torch.... they dont make kids programmes like they used to! hey ho... its silly really, but im always one of those people who ends up **cking the simplest thing up - especially when im nervous, like spilling wine on a really hot date, or tripping over when i catch someones eye in the street...!!!!! i have this horrible feeling im gonna completely embarass myself!!!!! but i know what you mean about the floppy hair... and a bit of designer stubble is good too!
  4. Its with a company called skydive spain http://www.skydivespain.com/ just looking around on the net and came across it really..... I'll let you know how I get on!!! (my poor bank balance...) oranges oranges oranges
  5. cheers for that! no, im going to seville land of the oranges - want me to bring back some marmalade.....???!!!!!!
  6. Hello all..... Well, im counting down the days, hours, minutes and i can't wait to get on that plane!!! but i am a little bit nervous too, partly cos im going on my own, and then there is the whole jumping out of plane thing too- don't get me wrong- i cant wait, i think its the anticipation!!!! so any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated, what to do - what NOT to do etc!!!! thanks guys.... lolli x
  7. Try skydive spain who are out in Seville (south spain so slightly better weather), im going out there mid feb to do my AFF - I got BA flights through Opodo for £125. Here is the address: http://www.skydivespain.com I dont know about S/L but email them, v friendly and can book your hotel for you too if your Spanish isnt too hot! I would double check with your home DZ about returning to S/L or completing AFF.
  8. look i never said i find the croc scary and therefore im wrong cos in fact the croc isnt really scary. its not the crocs fault that hes covered in scales, eats huge lumps of raw meat, weighs a ton and has rows of big sharp teeth...... come on now everyone, a big sympathetic aahh for this poor misunderstood creature...... now i completely understand you - NOT!!! but fair enough, i can agree to disagree with you on this lol!!!! big hug x
  9. hey well done and big congratulations, coping with any type of habit, whether it be drink, smoking, drugs, skydiving.....!!! is difficult as it can run your life, and thats when its under control and not as a 'addiction' anyhow what i want to know is what do you do/have to celebrate all your firsts! big hugs x
  10. COME ON PEOPLE THIS IS STUPID!!! all very well to say the croc was well known to steve, but the thing about wild animals is that they're WILD and could do something completely out of character at any time....why risk it?? its fair enough that steve is willing to take risks on his own life, but there have been a few occasions when hes been close to being hurt. (is this why its so appropriate that his wife is a doctor...???) there are so many what ifs...... ultimately if something had happened and the baby hurt it would have been his fault and completely unforgivable...to himself, his wife, the public and what about his son who cant even speak for himself yet??? how can anyone disagree with this???!!!!
  11. hmm this is something thats been bugging me lately. only a newbie but when i tell people, theyre like "oh is there something lacking in your life then?!!!" WTF??!!!" yeah, like i do this so ive got something to talk to people about!!!! saying that, i would admit to being a complete geek at heart even though ive gone the ugly duckling route... stuff them thats what i say!
  12. yes, some v scary things being said, but ulitmately i think that if there is some acceptance and compromise on both sides this gives way to understanding. i hope!!! not sure if the boyf will get more enthusiastic when im jumping more often, hopefully i'll see if i can get him to do a tandem and hang around at the DZ while i jump. hes v arty too so im sure he could take pictures/ do sketches and the such. what annoys me though for non jumpers is the whole thing that loads of people have been saying to me when i tell them, "oh, is there something LACKING in your life that you feel you have to do this?" IT REALLYS ANNOYS ME!!!! just want to give them a big slap round the face. maybe they're just scared cos its something they'd never b able to do. i dont know
  13. hhmm yes i think it basically goes back to whole basic thing that men do (men, please feel free to retaliate!!!). now im off going to do this thing he suddenly thinks "what happens if she meets some hunky guy that she has this amazing thing in common with, they'll start talking about the size of their canopies and i'll be dropped..." you see....??? our relationship is very secure, but i suppose if he was off doing something with big groups of girls i would be slightly concerned too that they would be having their hands on my man! possesiveness, jealosy - basic instincts i guess and its funny what you say happythoughts, cos im quite introverted, not really liking the whole centre of attention thing!! different horses for different courses as they say...
  14. well thanks guys, sorry ive not been about the last 12 hours to respond to your thoughts, diff time zone you see! im actually off doing my aff in spain- going on my own and planning on doing the consolidation jumps out there too. not only will i be going on my own, my boyf slightly worried bout me travelling on my own. when in return i'll get comfy at my nearest DZ and think bout getting myself a rig of my own.... now that you're all aware im not a guy and this is the other way round do you think differently??? sorry i didnt mean to confuse i think it is the whole beer, jumps good time that hes worried about
