  1. Not the first time for that huh, Ray?!?!?!? You missed a fun time at RG. Baxter.
  2. Man, 50 climb outs in 24 hours, that's gonna be some workout. I did 10 climbs last saturday and needed a lot of alcohol therapy to recover! Good luck Miles.
  3. The Atlanta crew is throwing in a few Atlanta BASE Crew- Team Comatose t-shirts. Great for day-blaz'n yur favorite object!
  4. The Perrine BASE Boogie is happening again, and Don Mays, owner of Snake River Canyon Tours, is once again treating all the BASE jumpers to a barbeque at Centennial Park by the boat dock. He has done this for a number of years as a way of saying thank you to the BASE jumpers. Johnny Utah will be teaming up with Don to help out with the give-away drawing and there will also be a video party at Woody’s Sports Bar that evening. The Barbeque and Drawing When: Saturday, September 3, 2005 (during the day, in the afternoon, as usual) Where: Twin Falls, Idaho, at the boat marina (look for Don’s kitchen van) It’s free. Stop by between jumps, catch up with friends, and meet some jumpers you haven’t met before Be sure to get a ticket for the drawing. Don and Johnny are still in the process of collecting donated items for the drawing. If there are any manufacturers, BASE jumpers, or anyone that would like to donate any items for the drawing, please contact Johnny or Don. Utah will be in Twin Falls from August 28 - September 5. You can call either one of them on their cell phones. Johnny 630-947-3997 Don 208-731-6448 If you are not going to be in Twin Falls, there is still time to mail something to either Don or Johnny. Call either one of them for a mailing address. You will be recognized for your contribution, and all the BASE jumpers greatly appreciate it. The Video Party When: Saturday Night, September 3, 2005, 8:30 pm Where: Woody’s, 213 5th Ave South, Twin Falls, ID, 208-732-0077 The video party is meant to be a fun time for all the BASE jumpers to get together, share some video and some laughs. You can show any kind of video you want, either stuff shot at the bridge that day, BASE footage from somewhere else, or something edited. Johnny set up this sweet deal for the video party: The first 7 people that show up for the video party and sign in on the list to show their video will get a pitcher of beer, margarita, or soda for $1. After that, anyone who shows a video can get a pitcher of beer, margarita, or soda for half price. Woody’s has a kitchen with a decent menu, so you can eat dinner there you wish. FYI - Woody's serves mixed drinks now. A few prizes will be given to videos that stand out. But this is meant to be just a fun video party, so bring your videos, one and all. If anyone wants to donate a prize for the video party, please call Johnny on his cell phone 630-947-3997, or you can drop it off at Woody’s.
  5. TB- I'm looking forward to those next waves!!! Chase the fun. Baxter.
  6. Nice photos, too bad about the exit point but what a beautiful area to be "forced" to hike in. Baxter.
  7. I'll have demo Prodigys and V-1s, at Skydive Atlanta on Saturday and ASC on Sunday and will also be taking orders for the NEW Phantom! Come out and learn to fly or join in on some flocking! Baxter.
  8. A big thanks to everyone at CPI for a successful wingsuit weekend!!! Thanks especially to Mark K., Ripcord, James, Nick, Kristin, Janel, Camper, Rob, Keri and Chris. We got 10 first-time wingsuit pilots in Prodigys who progressed from solos to multi-ways. Several experienced jumpers tried the V-1 and others got more advanced coaching on flocking. With many new Prodigys on the way, CPI is soon to become the New England wingsuit hotspot!.
  9. Matt- Where did you get coaching for your first W/S flight? Not from any BMI or PFI that I know of. Dude, relax... wingsuit and base will be there when you have the experience. By rushing into things you're not showing that you listen... which is not something coaches/instructors/mentors find advantageous for teaching. Baxter.
  10. I'll have demo Prodigys and V-1, this weekend at Connecticut Parachutist, Inc and will also be taking orders for the NEW Phantom! Come out and learn to fly or join in on some flocking! Baxter.
  11. Tom- METALLICA RULES!!! Get down to the ATL and bring your rig, the crew is dwindling and we need help with a recruiting drive! Matt- the GTI is a great suit, I think a lot of us started with one and I still have fun flying it. Baxter. BMI/PFI
  12. Matt- See me in a few months and we'll get you in a Prodigy at The Farm. Baxter.
  13. James- Thanks for the jumps, hospitality and wingsuit flight advice this week! Watching your long flights to the cafe was truly enlightening as to the possibilities of WS base. If you get tired of Senor Sanchez, don't forget about the "donkey punch" and Molly's personal favorite the "angry dragon"! Baxter.

  18. Here's one way to burn an object. Think this crane will be locked up from now on?!?!? "Crane climber closes Peachtree Man identified as murder suspect from Florida By MIKE MORRIS The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 05/26/05 Atlanta police Thursday morning remained in a stalemate with a Florida murder suspect perched atop an 18-story crane in the heart of Buckhead. Peachtree Road remained closed at 6:30 a.m. in both directions between East Paces Ferry Road and Sardis Way, just north of the junction of Peachtree and Roswell roads, police dispatchers said. The man, identified by Florida authorities as 41-year-old Carl Edward Roland, climbed the construction crane about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, and has refused to come down. Police negotiators climbed the crane and tried throughout the night to talk to the man. Ground temperatures overnight reached a low of about 50 degrees. According to a press release from the Pinellas County, Fla., sheriff's office, Roland, whose last known address was in Clearwater, is suspected in the slaying of his former girlfriend, 36-year-old Jennifer Gonzalez. The woman's badly beaten body was discovered Tuesday afternoon in a retention pond near her home in Oldsmar, Fla."
  19. Helmut- Good news! I have located photos of the German Test(icle) Pilot in my personal photo collection. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a problem... it seems that every photo is a bit blurry due to his excessive forward speed. Better luck next time. 733
  20. Damn ! I've got a "wooden stake" for her!!!
  21. Matt- I should be at The Farm on Saturday, come over and say "whatz up?". Baxter.
  22. Last night, while out at a new 350' urban object in our fine city, our crew was approached by an individual with no BASE experience who had bought a rig on DZ.com. After thorough interrogation about the pack job and inspection of the rig, we decided to take him along for the jump and subsequent training. The determining factor as to his suitability as a BASE student was "... well dude, he's got a Metallica t-shirt on...". What could possibly go wrong!
  23. Two Jumps?!?!?! Dude, put down the crack-pipe (or start sharing) cause that stuff is making you see things!!! Baxter. p.s. "nowhere" was a pretty nice place to huck this morning except for the po po who was lurking at th store.
