  1. I've tried to stay out of the Texas bashing with my wife being a UT grad and all but if you'd seen some of the jumps Voodew1 was suggesting (flying with his head up Bob's ass... what's up with that ?!?!?!?!?!) you'd know that all them Texas guys are whacked. The mere fact that Jason was able to 'cat', as he called it, on Bob really scared me!!! How do you figure he got good at flying like that?!?!?
  2. Just a reminder that we'll be flying from the Casa this weekend at Ogden!
  3. Thanks. The 30D is a brick but all my opening as sooooo sweet that it never hurts my neck. (not!) I did get the 18-55mm lens with my camera and am going to put some jumps on it this weekend just to get a perspective change. Happy flights!
  4. Hey Matt- Great site and photos. What camera set up are you using? I've been experimenting with a 30D and a 15mm fisheye but am looking for something for a few other ideas. Thanks! Baxter.
  5. I second the props on the lens, it is great!
  6. We'll have to see... Like dhracer33, I think we can cover the 6'3" part but will have to see what your build is to determine if you can work into one of the suits. Baxter.
  7. Dood... I thought you were out of the country find'n yo roots?
  8. Paragliding is great! We get to fly several times a week here in SLC and even have a nice little hill next to the house that you cen get 2000' over launch on good days. Congrats and enjoy the flying.
  9. Tom- There is a small group planning on heading to the Perrine that weekend. Are you saying that there will be some governmental type official who will not let us jump if we were not invited or is this 'restriction' more informal? Thanks.
  10. Me too, so please do give us a report on how you like the machine. Have fun with the new toy!
  11. I think the photographer was just trying to do the best with the equipment he had! Maybe he'll get a real camera some day.

  14. Flocking and demo suits will be available on Friday and continue all weekend! Call the DZ or e-mail Mark for more information! See you guys this weekend. Baxter.
  15. Wow, this is a great example of cool folks helping each other out at dz.com! Makes me feel good about this comunity. MB38, I was about to buy my wife a MacBook Pro next month for her birthday but your comment about the Intel processor may make me wait until the second generation of machines is available. Does that sound like the best thing to do or is the current MacBook Pro 'stable' enough to buy at this point. Thanks for the advice. Baxter.

  18. The Moab Boogie was a blast last year... early morning base jumps, long days flying wingsuits and even longer nights in the Moab Brewery bar or by the bonfire! Sweet, can't wait for it again Jason- are you bringing some of your smoke brackets? There are a few folks here in SLC who'd be interested. I'll also work with Jay to see if there is enough interest to do a PFI course. Baxter.

The helmet is just a crappy ProTec in gloss black with a carbon fiber look. That is a great exit point and you can rest assumed that my palms were sweating on that exit. Baxter.

Very nice! Kinda weirds me out that someone now has a tattoo of me exiting from the diving board back in 2001 on them! I still have the freefly suit but sold the rig in 2002 and still miss it. Enjoy. Baxter.
  22. Ohhhhh Bryan, you're really tempting fate with that one! I'd be very careful on that next illegal jump. Blair- Just a thought, for those who haven't been busted (knocking on wood now) you should also have a block for number of illegal jumps they have done. Stay safe and handcuff free! Baxter.
