  1. Sony finally gets directly into the POV / action cam market! http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921666484197#additionalImage1%22 ---------------------------------------
  2. It's easy ...just need a screwdriver. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3835924;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread ---------------------------------------
  3. Thx for posting pics.....got that setup mounted on a helmet yet? Would love to see more if you do. ---------------------------------------
  4. The weekend weather forecast is looking great. After "breezy" leaves tomorrow we should have a perfect weekend for jumping. I'm looking forward to jumping the CASA. Who is in for a speed star race? ---------------------------------------
  5. Is there any chance that the NC Rotor & Wing guys might let us make a heli jump or 2? ---------------------------------------
  6. I'm having thoughts of TURKEY and the BLUE SKY that we had today! ---------------------------------------
  7. I'm re-posting this info from the CSS Family Google group page http://groups.google.com/group/cssfamily?hl=en Any of the licensed Skydivers that need equipment for the "NC TCB" Contact me (Tony Thacker) at Raeford, by phone or e mail. I am not open that weekend and have lots of equipment all CYPRES & RSL equipped. 910 904 0000 [email protected] Blue Skies, Tony Thacker ---------------------------------------
  8. I've got one- It has proven to be very durable. The small size of this camera is it's biggest asset. The stock 90 degree field of view lens is narrow for most skydiving shots. Quality of the picture is just what you read- great for Youtube and such but not HD. For me it is very acceptable. I've made DVD's that look pretty good. To have a better picture you'd have to spend a lot more money. For me the size makes this camera ideal. I have mine side mounted with some serious hook & loop tape. I used the stock mount for a while on my motorcycle helmet but don't like it for skydiving as it sticks out too much. Lots of insider talk here: http://www.vholdr.com/forum Where did you hear about a fish eye lens? I asked more than once and get no indication this will be made. Since the release Vholdr seems to have spent more on developing their video sharing site than on hardware development. Overall it's a good little camera & I'd buy another if I lost mine. If you are into this camera spend some time reading on their forum about it. Oh & for what it's worth: I'm just out to have fun with this Point Of View camera- I don't consider myself a video guy by any means. The first video I ever made was with MovieMaker & a VHoldr....for that matter all the movies I've made have been with it. ---------------------------------------
  9. What's up Tony?! I'll be sure to pass the message on to the Old Men. Ha Ha! ---------------------------------------
  10. There is another CSS thread regarding Hot air ballon jumps for the Thanksgiving Boogie: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3018887;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread I just thought I'd mention it here to try and keep all the info in one thread. It would be wise to call ahead and get on the list if you are interested. DZ # is 919 496-2224 http://www.carolinaskysports.com/ExperiencedSkydivers/tabid/52/Default.aspx I hope to see another fun crowd this year and I'm looking forward to some great skydives.

  13. Hey Everybody- I'm inviting another group to the Durham Bull's Baseball game this Thursday 26th. It's more or less a repeat of usual: gametime is 7; there is always a group that will meet and carpool from my house- planned departure 6:30. Everybody is invited...especially "Freak Flyers going Flat" We need to hear about this more before heading to Raeford this weekend... send me a PM or call or somehow let me know and I'll get you tickets. Thursday, July 26, 7pm Durham Bulls vs Norfolk Tides $1 Hot Dogs, French Fries & Popcorn all night long Let me know if you are in! -Greg ---------------------------------------
  14. So what's the harness & container gonna look like? Does the Democracy of CSS get to vote again? ---------------------------------------
  15. I'll vote for #1 also but 5 is a close 2nd. I'm curious about #4 ....and those that voted for it: Why do you like the white topskin & black bottom combo? Am I missing something about the all white top skins here? Considering the fact that you are using this for customers we could get into the psychological realm of colors too: Blue is calming, etc. The inside of most enclosed life rafts is blue to help with seasickness. In that case I might vote for the spin 'em puke'em pound'em red & black ---------------------------------------
