1. Serail killer implies more than one intentional kill. Sorry not me. Go check out the hunters in the thread. OK I understand that hunting is not a bad thing done properly and I sure wish my brother-in-law and his wife would stop feeding the damned deer in their neighborhood. edit to fix a typo and another. 2. A large part of real life sucks too, get used to it. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
3. I'm thinking Bill menat killing too many coyotes would result in a rabbit explosion not that killing them would harm the rabbits. edit to fix a bunch of typos. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
4. I'm here all week. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
5. Not really....they have A LOT in common actually. Not the least of which is the fact that Chechnya was the biggest "Jihadi" vacation destination after Afghanistan. To think I once had a small amount of sympathy for the Chechens. Not anymore! This may help you understand how it works: "Truth is tough. 6. Jungle Book has the best music/songs! "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
7. I'm thinking this poll didn't go the way you intended and I will push it farther out. Two dogs had litters at the sme time. One dog cameover to check out the other litter and ripped a puppies guts open. I had to drown the puppy. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
8. Oh come on Chopper is funny. New manager/nephew sends Mikey and Jr. home, they "sulk" but there is no way he can fire them because then the show goes in the toilet. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
9. Condom of Go dwas funny, the others shown here, no dice. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
10. As I replied to you before see my post to Douva. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
11. How about reading what others say before you leap in. Would have saved yourself some typing. edited to fix a typo. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
12. OK I did the searches, see my response to Douva above. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
13. You realize you just contradicted yourself, right? You just said that a law can't stop someone, then you say it can. No contradiction. I said that if your intent is to kill your wife no law will stop you. But if you are drunk and get pissed and have to go to some level of effort to gather your gun you MIGHT take the time to think about the consequences. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
14. OK, I have been thinking about this for a while now. Did some digging on the Internet as suggested in Kennedy's post and here is where I end up. I remember the Luby's killings and they were clearly awful. Had she been able to stop them it would have been great, although considering the law at the time she probably would have been in a world of trouble too. I also suspect that hunting around would find a case of a licensed gun owner doing something very wrong that would provide a reason to ban the practice so one case is not really a solid reason to pass a law. Clearly guns get used for defensive means regularly although it seems most often in the home where concealed carry would not apply. The results of the 1994 Florida State survey are questioned by many, some on the pro-gun ownership side, but do indicate that there is a certain level of valid DGU in the country. Given the requirements here in the state of Texas and the history since the law was passed I would have to say that it isn't neccessarily a bad thing but I am not heading out to the store for a handgun, training, and licensing. I will remain strongly in favor of background checks, waiting periods, no gun areas and the rest. "Truth is tough. 15. Yes, while living in England they didn't get Irish jokes but bring on the Polish ones and they laughed liked crazy. Or maybe it was the other way arond, it was a long time ago. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
16. Not a trick question, when was the last time that "packing" protected you from crime? "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
17. Well there you go it isn't just sterotypes, us or "them", it is the truth that makes it funny. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
18. None, let the Arabs do it. Edit to say, shit they just proivde the juice! "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
19. Granted that I only posted it recently but I have not received any response from people who have used a gun in self-defense. When was the last time your concealed carry license protected you? I am not in favor of harassing the innocent but I have yet to understand what the common citizen derives from carrying a handgun. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
20. I am an American and I think there are some very funny American jokes here. Of course that may because I have spent a few years out of the country and realize what asses many Americans can make of themselves. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
21. First off I want to say well put! What can I say, I don't spend a lot of time in the bonfire because I want some discussion, not a love fest. Agreeing to disagree is a fair way of settling arguments, rarelly practised on the Internet, i.e. in a faceless environment. Jumping with you and hanging with you are two very different spaces. Even with my low numbers there are already people I know who I would rathera not jump with and others I would rather not hang with. edited because I screwed up my message "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
22. All right so there are two reasons for the laws. One to harass law-abiding citizens and two to provide an additional penalty for law breakers. Does that make you happy? Part two is the real reason for the laws. If you rally want to whack your spouse the laws won't have any impact. But if you are drunk and pissed they might slow you down until you are a little more rational. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
23. Average salray over the entire range of men and women is useless. You must compare similar jobs. Even then you must deal with the percentages. If 90% of CEO's are men you have to weight the salaries of the women. Point is this is not easy to prove. Gut feeling is that women still make less than men for the same jobs but it is not 25% less. Frankly the lower you go in pay I suspect the less the percentage differntial is. edited to fix a typo. "Truth is tough. 24. Well said. How's the shoulder? "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
25. Just out of curiosity how many times in your life have you needed your weapon to protect yourself? I am 46 years old and have lived in a large part of the US and parts of Europe and never been personaly threatened. Just wonder how often it happens to the "I must have a gun" club. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
