  1. Thanks for the feedback, it has been quite positive in all an I am looking forward to giving it a go in winter, will post the result.... When I go, I want to pass away in my sleep, just like my dear old Grandmother, NOT screaming like the passengers in the car she was driving.
  2. thanks for the feedback, it is more experiment than development, thought to give it a go on the ski slopes as I am up there boarding anyway, if it grabs me I will start looking at a speed wing... When I go, I want to pass away in my sleep, just like my dear old Grandmother, NOT screaming like the passengers in the car she was driving.
  3. Does anyone have any experience groundlaunching and speedflying a Stiletto? Any constructive tips appreciated CD When I go, I want to pass away in my sleep, just like my dear old Grandmother, NOT screaming like the passengers in the car she was driving.
  4. ..before modifying try variations on the pack technique I used to jump a German canopy that was basically a copy of the Sabre, I resolved the hard opening problem by rolling the nose a bit tighter and more when packing, increased snivel time but made a big difference when opening, When I go, I want to pass away in my sleep, just like my dear old Grandmother, NOT screaming like the passengers in the car she was driving.
  5. as I am heading that way soon and have heard there is a DZ near Santiago, I would like to hear any reports from people who have jumped or are in the area. Chris When I go, I want to pass away in my sleep, just like my dear old Grandmother, NOT screaming like the passengers in the car she was driving.
  6. seems the comments are avoiding the issue here, Safety, 1 your brother has no exp as jump pilot 2 you have no ground team 3 you have no experienced guidence 4 you have no experience easy answer.. remedy the above 4 factors then jump where you want When I go, I want to pass away in my sleep, just like my dear old Grandmother, NOT screaming like the passengers in the car she was driving.
  7. Sehr gut gemacht Felix, you perserviert and conquered, No idea how your going to go one better on this though, stay safe and Blue skies.
  8. not sure if you've been on the DZ during an incident before. I have been on several different ones for deaths or serious injuries please do not come to the DZ I am jumping at When I go, I want to pass away in my sleep, just like my dear old Grandmother, NOT screaming like the passengers in the car she was driving.
  9. if you're in Miami for a while, I am in Fort Lauderdale and could be interested in a drive up north drop me a mail [email protected] When I go, I want to pass away in my sleep, just like my dear old Grandmother, NOT screaming like the passengers in the car she was driving.
  10. that my friend is not quick dealing but fraud, but then again it was up to you to check, I am curious as to what was on the papers, or was that also illegible, if the papers are falsified then I suggest 2 courses of action 1 remove canopy in pod from container and shove it up the riggers..... 2 jum the canopy until you are ready for a new one then return it to the rigger for money returned ... falsifying papers of a canopy contravenes aviation laws... quite serious offence When I go, I want to pass away in my sleep, just like my dear old Grandmother, NOT screaming like the passengers in the car she was driving.
  11. come on guys, this is starting to sound bitchy, Taris, the only thing that you need to do in this sport is to have fun, and I hope you do, Rigger Paul, the feedback was great and constructive, I am sure Taris profitted by it. Anyway, if we were all the kind of people who like to play it safe then we sure as hell wouldn't be stepping out of A'planes at 4000m blue skies and deep powder snow.... When I go, I want to pass away in my sleep, just like my dear old Grandmother, NOT screaming like the passengers in the car she was driving.
  12. that and couldn't find 3 wise men...... lots of camels though !! When I go, I want to pass away in my sleep, just like my dear old Grandmother, NOT screaming like the passengers in the car she was driving.
  13. Hi VB (did you spend too much time in South Australia, the beer I mean not the virgins, do you know why JC was not born in Melbourne ??) anyway, the synonymous comment was rhetorical, not a positive observation too many wannabe sky gods, When I go, I want to pass away in my sleep, just like my dear old Grandmother, NOT screaming like the passengers in the car she was driving.
  14. Hey Taris, all these experts with advise n'cest pas, I am trying to understand where these guys came up with thier wing load calcs as I do not see your weight anywhere, and to load that 150 at 1.5 you must weigh close to 200lbs ?? how heavy are you. Also one small correction, it IS YOU who decides when you are ready to downsize, this decision is uniquely yours, there is no "passing the buck" in this game, is your job to inform yourself so you can make the wise choice, that includes stepping out the door at 12000ft. In my previous post I offered only info based on experience, NOT advise, but there is one small piece of advise I would offer... Canopy courses with a good coach are invaluable, I was fortunate enough to do 2 courses with different members of the PD team, made me reinvent my canopy piloting style..... Blues CD When I go, I want to pass away in my sleep, just like my dear old Grandmother, NOT screaming like the passengers in the car she was driving.
