    - precise and clear altitude display
    - several altitudes alarms
    - alarms when approaching AAD triger conditions
    - voice warning system (needs earbuds) for altitudes and alarms
    - if gps on, measure swoop distance, direction and distance to dropzone

    - and more

What are the differences between your two products?

"Parachute Company Was Formerly Known as Aviation Safety Resources. Pioneer Aerospace Corporation, d.b.a. ASR-Pioneer, has declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is seeking to sell the company under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code. The parachute manufacturer is a collection of companies, including Pioneer and Strong Parachutes,"

They have already sold off one of the pieces, Pioneer maker of recovery parachutes used by various space programs, was sold to SpaceX for $2.2 million.

I've not seen any information specific to Strong Parachutes.

I didn't realize the Map version of the dropzone directory was not a feature of this site anymore.  It looks the like the data (LAT and LON of each DZ) is still there. I might take a crack at scraping it into a KML file, I have wanted to play around with scraping a bit this would be a good excuse.

Unfortunately the dropzone  info is way out of date on here. If you do go about scraping the info and creating something new, it would be great to have a way for users to provide feedback for updates.

  6. me too...

    IanHarrop - Dropzone.com

Update: When I change the theme to "dropzone" using the dropdown at the very bottom of each page of the website the problem of "array" goes away

I noticed the default theme being set to something other than "dropzone" and reported in feedback on June 26.

  7. Part of the problem is that the DZ listing are "owned" by whoever created them... presumably the DZ owners. As such, edits are their responsibility. There isn't a process for updating listings except by the owners. If a DZ disappears or the owners change the listings go out of date.

Unfortunately dz.com has lst relevance so those DZ owners no longer see any value in keeping the listings up to date.
