  7. Thanks! So I hope next time we have a bigger budget to come over to the other side of the pond and work with those guys
  8. Tight schedule and Germany in Winter... We just had small cloud window to jump, no time to wait for Blue Sky..
  9. Have you noticed the Beer-Cam shot? I know it's only a few frames but look what we build to realise this..
  10. @DSE What settings and setup would be advisable to work with the Red Epic in Freefall? Would be good to know if we have something like that in the future again..
  11. I think basically it should work with the Red Epic! Problem is that we didn't have the time and the budget to test things or build a custom configuration for that.. So we just used a well known setup for us.. @DSE: Did you use the epic for freefall? I think especially the new Red Epic M should be perfect for this..
  12. @FrancoR I would even do this for canadian beer if they pay for this!
  13. Hey, Check out this commercial we did for a local German Beer... I produced this job with my company and brought in the skydiving idea Skydiving scene is shot on 7D - the other scenes are mixed Alexa/Red Epic. It's a teaser for a facebook competition where you can send in your most crazy ideas how to open a bottle.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MINJkbQAbug&hd=1 Enjoy! Max
  14. Ok, since nobody could provide me some good references we just decided to the thing on our own. 5 nice jumps in freezing Germany and this is the result (watch till the end): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MINJkbQAbug&hd=1
  15. thanks Piis, already helps a lttle bit!..but I'm looking more for a vid which clearly shows the bottle close, centered in the perspective.. There is a guy solving a rubics cube in freefall.. and there is this guy opening a wine bottle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABUnTYod_BI), which is the closest thing I found.. hm.. If anyone has some more ideas, that would be great!
  16. I need some references for a project we are pitching on for a tv commercial... send me every link you find piis and soon there will be another skydiving commercial on tv Disclaimer: We are not responsibe for the idea, we are just doing the execution
  17. Hello, I'm looking for a video where a skydiver jumps out with a (beer)bottle in his hand and opens it in freefall or under open canopy.. I'm not talking about a redbull can.. Does anyone know where I might have seen this? Thanks, Max
  18. Vodafone Germany @ Frankfurt am Main. 3G only. iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0.1 Ping 72ms Down: 7.64Mbps Up: 2.73Mbps
  19. Depending on how many jumpers you need around the ball, I can get it done for $20k if you provide the cameras for the jump, $25k if I need to supply my own cameras, and it will take 6 weeks from when the check clears until you have the footage. Thanks a lot Dave, that helps.. BTW: Is this legal?
  20. Not me, but the "creatives" at the agency.. I, as a skydiver, would never think of something like this, makes no sense to me.. I think the visuals are not good enough for a tv commercial. You would have to bring a lot of light there and shoot in highspeed, etc. I thought maybe a Vladiball-Style solution would help.. or maybe the discoball breaks in half and there is a small drogue attached (fired by an aad). Good point with the mirrors... Maybe wrap the ball in an adhesive foil, so you eleminate that. I am sure if you have enough time for testing there is a way to make it happen. Just wanted to know from here, because there might be someone here who did something similar. I have to deliver a ballpark calculation to the agency, and so they will get something..
  21. Hello, Disco Ball night jump. Has this been done (e.g. in the crazy 70ies or maybe even Wally himself)? How can this be done safely? Where can this be done safely? A big discoball in the middle, flying people around it, light sparks all over the people.. Maybe even laserlight or stroboscopic? Sorry for the stupid questions, but I work in the advertising business and I am the only skydiver in my company, so I have to ask this Thanks, Max
  22. Nice work! He is my true hero for 2010... Forget Assange or Zuckerberg, he should be TIMEs man of the year! http://macedoniaonline.eu/content/view/17081/48/
  23. So, DSE, what's your take on this? I'm sure you have seen it before http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/19/rugged-pov-hd-video-system-captures-1080p-through-anything-for/
