Drive, passion, determination, mental toughness, smart training, fantastic support, and excellent leadership are a few ways to define the word Champion. The 2007 line-up of Arizona Airspeed epitomize that definition. Go Team USA! ParacleteXP

My bad on the incorrect rate for Bedford. I thought I saw something that said 800 pounds, but I got on their site and educated myself. I humbly apologize. ParacleteXP

Simple mathematics. What you need to look at is cubic feet of usable space. Price based on that gives you a better idea of where we're coming from. You can fly several more individuals at one time, do 8-way team training, do every block in the 4-way pool, run camps while sharing the space with 2 students at a time. Check out Bedfords pricing, 1600USD per hour. Skydiving and Tunnel flying are expensive sports, its a matter of what's important for each individual. ParacleteXP

Financial support for Top teams at National and World competitions
kirkverner replied to frost's topic in Relative Work
Several countries support their national teams by paying for training and meet registrations. USPA cuts a check to the US Team prior to the WM. This is interest off the US Team Fund that definitely helps. Arizona Airspeed has to get help from sponsors to pay for everything. Each year it was always rack up huge expenses on credit cards and slowly pay it back over the next year. It was always stressful but it always worked out in the end. Typically I have found two types of people, the first says " I have this much money, so I'll do this." the second says " I'm going to do this, and I'll just make the money happen." Airspeed has been comprised of the latter. If you're passionate about something you will find a way to get yourself to the goal but in skydiving you will end up broke...it was worth it every inch of the way for me. ParacleteXP -
Yes. I have two IBA examiners working here as well as several level 4 instructors. See you soon. ParacleteXP

A cash prize seems to draw people, but as far as the competition is concerned have both a subjective judging category and a objective judging category. Basically one that is pleasing to the eye and one that is about turning points. ParacleteXP
