  1. This is'nt related. Sales jobs have nothing to do with H1-Bs. Kris.
  2. Do you have the ones with the metal cylinder in them? Can I ask Mirage to make me a cutaway handle with a Metal cylinder inside the soft pillow? I am assuming this is standard on the Reserve soft pillow. Kris.
  3. Sweet!! Congratulations!!
  4. Yeah it is much like riding a bicycle.
  5. They don't have a problem with opening high at my DZ. Just have to let the pilot know and go out last. I dumped at 8K when I jumped my new Sabre 2 last weekend. Kris.
  6. Sounds like it could have been a lot worse. Glad you are o.k kelel01.
  7. I never got to the point of trying to muscle it into the D-Bag. Kris.
  8. That is what it is supposed to look like. And it has that effect. Just think though, could you hold on to a chute with your hand in free fall and withstand opening shock? And yeah I believed it at first too
  9. That's what I used to assemble it and it passes thru both loops and I had it checked out by my rigger. I gave up trying to pack the main after 4 hours of effort.
  10. I just received my main today. Our DZ rigger had already installed the cypress and packed my reserve. I started putting together the remaining parts together around 7:10 PM(10:10 PM now) and finished putting the main on the risers(slinks) and attaching the D-bag and PC to the main. The fun part of attempting to pack this thing into my main still remains. I will do that after a dinner break. The question is(on a Mirage G4), when the D-Bag is attached to the PC bridle, the Rapide link does the job of pulling the D-bag away from the main after the lines have unstowed and the PC continues to yank on the D-bag. Correct? I made sure that the kill line passes between the the two Kevlar(yellow) thingies. See image. Is this correct? I will not jump it until my rigger looks at it and gives his blessing. So what do you think? Did I get it right? Kris.
  11. I am a fan of light colored canopies with dark ribs. Light bottom skin, dark ribs(different from topskin color) and dark topskin sounds good as well. Kris.
  12. The sabre 190 is measured in the same way as the 176. So the 176 is a 176. If you are not comfortable you are not comfortable. Don't take chances with your reserve. Kris.
  13. It does happen. However the first thing I do once I have a stable canopy over my head is to lift and flip back the visor. then collapse slider, unstow brakes...etc, etc, etc..... I had the same trouble when I wore gloves for the first time and opened with line twists. And I could'nt get the visor up immediately. I had condensation from my breath on the inside of the lens. So flip the Damn Visor
  14. Define True. They are two different measuring methods. Only thing I can say is don't use the rationalization that PD canopies are bigger to buy a smaller reserve than you are comfortable with. Kris.
  15. Congrats, I got my official A license card and number, yesterday. A-44695. Kris.
  16. Why do you feel that way?
  17. I am sorry, I made corrections to my post see above.
  18. They are 130 each. My bad. Check here The AFP is different from the AFF. Comparision here The pricing for AFP is different from AFF. See here Kris.
  19. Interesting. So if she said she cheated on you. Would you ask her..."But did you kiss him/her?... was it passionate? ...describe in 500 words or less." I can't think of a situation where someone would cheat and have sex but be like..." sorry, I only kiss my boyfriend/girlfriend". Kris.
  20. I know a girl that was dumped by her boyfriend because she kissed someone else. The whole LDR thing(he was away for a while) and she had to tell him when he came back. Lesson: Kissing is cheating. I don't know, I would appreciate the honesty I guess. Oh well, can't really be in someone elses shoes.
  21. I graduated the AFP program at Spaceland. Yes you wear a radio on all your student jumps. You will be given a big enough canopy and the instructor will help you with the flare so don't worry about that. Just talk to your instructor about your concerns. Skydive Spaceland has great instructors IMO. Kris. P.S : do you recognize the blue student jumpsuit from my profile pic?
  22. I don't try to get my friends to skydive anymore. It is a futile exercise. Kris.
  23. I know a guy(100-150 jumps) at our dropzone that purchased a Sabre 2 190 around the same time I purchased mine. He had the same issue, turns on opening. He sent it back to PD to get it checked. PD sent it back after checking it, said nothing is wrong. The guy has been jumping it for the past 2 months. The last time I asked him about the canopy he said that the problem was in how he was adjusting one side of his harness. He says it opens on heading now. Kris.
  24. The only thing that has worked so far is taking a break(forced). If I figure it out I'll let you know. Kris.
