i normally fly a stealth and lately only been flying a XS. Unrelated but something I must highlight - that suits is DEFINABLY not for everyone - its a beast and if you are not able to relax and feel the air / suit fly when things get hectic in first 20 jumps you could get into deep trouble. back to my point - i dont know if that suits is tri wing anymore. it has 3 diff sets of cells ie two arm wings and a leg wing but the attachments are so low and the arm wings (well below knees) that it acts and turns like a mono wing - ie shaping the arm wing also shapes the tail - when you learn to fly it the suit will steer left when you are thinking go right! anyway just thought compost. ~ time is ~ time was ~ times past ~

i find it quite sad that this has become what it has... instead of people working together finding the solution we have split into two definite groups. i suppose its human nature, it happens anywhere something is held in high regard for a diverse group. we all want different things or want to use this / these events as something to promote ourselves in different ways. good luck with the squabbling for the next 8m! ~ time is ~ time was ~ times past ~

reg. previous points - i think skydiving requirements are the basic criteria to judge your readiness. once those requirements are met i suppose they check other criteria. i might add that you would rather have people be over qualified than under qualified if you are taking anyone on a branded expedition to do something so dangerous. damn work - i would have realllly liked to do this. ~ time is ~ time was ~ times past ~

im almost thinking that with modern suits with airlocks the strain factor would be considerably less than before when we didnt have airlocks. cool thread! ~ time is ~ time was ~ times past ~

to be honest i have had better controlled and softer openings on a 2.2 loaded velo 96 than my xoas before that. the xoas always hunted for a direction and then pasted me in a corner, no matter what i did or packed or relined. it still is a nice canopy imo but with the velo i found i could control the openings through packing alot better and slow then down alot and am happily jumping the canopy for work jumps. in saying that if you dont pack her properly a velo can smack open pretty hard (just like any othr canopy) my2c ~ time is ~ time was ~ times past ~

at the risk of sounding pushy ,,, can we see the pictures with the grid which is the claim to the record, i was there and i know or believe or was led to believe that these picture exist which is the basis for the record claim .. unless im mistaken and the claim was simply that we did a 71 way slot specific in a basic shape. lets see the photos with grid which the claim is based on ... i need something to brag with ! ~ time is ~ time was ~ times past ~
