Depends on what you are looking for. At Elsinore you get more of a family feel. Its an awesome place to jump and the instructors are world class. I take all my whuffo friends there for the vibe. Perris also has world class jumpers and an excellent staff that will assist you every step of the way. It is definitely more of a professional, business like atmosphere with many perks. I personally love both of these dropzones. I cannot speak about Skydive San Diego because I have never jumped there. Here is a suggestion. Visit each dropzone and see which one has the vibe you enjoy more. That will definitely have a bearing on how much you enjoy your training. Ask questions, talk to some of the instructors and see how comfortable they make you feel. Since I don't have 200 jumps yet I cannot say much but I LOVE my used reflex rig. It fits me very well and I have a beautiful, used hornet 170 in it with brand spanking new brake lines. Its a joy to fly and to pack and I haven't even considered buying new yet. If the group is coming out to do tandems, then many dz's offer incentives to the host. Last year at Skydive Elsinore I brought a group out where 15 of them did tandems. I got a free jump for each tandem. We were there with 30 people on a weekend and Skydive Elsinore was absolutely wonderful with organizing the loads and making sure my people got their skydives in. As far as experienced skydivers go, I am really not sure how the whole group thing works. A call to the DZ will usually yield answers for you. I will say this though, I know that here locally in So Cal that most dz's will turn the planes and run their extra aircraft if its cost efficient for them to do so (i.e. enough jumpers to keep the planes full and running) Talk to the DZ that you want to do this at and get their input. ________________________________________ Take risks not to escape life… but to prevent life from escaping. ~ A bumper sticker at the DZ FGF #6 Darcy

Mark, good point. I probably learned more canopy control during my AFF than most. I was impresses with the canopy control portion of the course. Depending on the type of helmet you use, the speedo swim cap works great for long hair and no tangles or split ends. . .love it. I believe that Eloy's 1st jump course is 7 jumps so I would say that AFF would take you three days if the weather cooperates, but you could verify that with anyone who regularly jumps there.
