  1. Sounds about right. Though if I'm being honest I'd have to admit that I did my part to pull my side of the formation down too. ~skysprite
  2. No yodeling, no scent of tequila. But he did keep winking at me! I don't know why I didn't put two and two together when I met him. Probably because I haven't been on dz.com in a very long time. ~skysprite
  3. I have a sneaking suspicion that I jumped with THE Vinny the Anvil last weekend! How many Vinny the Anvils could there possible be?? http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v422/tiffjumps/Jump/?action=view¤t=Tiff2.flv ~skysprite
  4. Congrats and much love to you both! ~skysprite
  5. 13 months, but I do see sky peaking through at the end of the tunnel, so that's good. ~skysprite
  6. You still drink Mt. Dew in freefall? How's your goggles? ~skysprite
  7. Sweet Potato Puffs 2 cans (40 oz. each) sweet potatoes or yams, drained 3 egg yolks 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup butter, melted 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar 2 cups cornflake crumbs 1/2 cup butter, melted 26 to 34 regular-size marshmallows Mash sweet potatoes and combine with egg yolks, salt, 1/2 cup butter and the brown sugar. Combine cornflake crumbs and 1/2 cup melted butter and put into shallow dish or onto waxed paper. Line muffin pan with paper baking cups. Mold sweet potato mixture around each marshmallow. Roll in cornflake mixture and place into baking cups. Poke finger into top of each puff. Freeze. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350. Bake unthawed puffs for 30 minutes. ~skysprite
  8. hehe Love those! My sister was in OCS the end of last year and had a drill instructor who liked "diamonds" (a type of push ups I'm told, though what a push up is I'm not sure - I tend to avoid them ). Grabbed this pic and added the text to it and sent that to her! She laughed! ~skysprite
  9. Grandpa's a fighter all right! But a little more than four months later, he peacefully passed tonight around 5:30pm pst. Everyone has had time to accept that this was going to happen, and is handling it well. Gradma talked to us on the phone for a while tonight, then said she was going to get a hot cup of tea, make up the bed with fresh sheets, then go to bed early so she could keep her hair appointment tomorrow. Said she might as well look good when people come to see her. The thing that gave me chills was when grandma said grandpa has finally been reunited with his first love. His first wife died very young, and "everyone" believes that she was his real true love. Yet he and grandma had something very special too. To an outsider it might sound like an odd comment, but if you knew my grandparents it would have given you chills too. It gives her comfort to know that he's loved where he is, as well as loved here too. I know death is traditionally supposed to be difficult and extremely sad, but I can't help but feel that all of us affected are at peace. Especially grandma. Not to say she hasn't cried or felt sad, but there's an underlying acceptance and peacefulness in her voice as well. ~skysprite
  10. Same reason as the last time I answered one of these threads. Plus I was up tossing my cookies as well, at 6 in the morning. Bad chinese food. Ugh. ~skysprite
  11. The chicken & the egg were lying in bed after having sex & the chicken lit a cigarette. The egg says, "I guess that answers THAT question!" ~skysprite
  12. This post made me smile! You know all of us here are behind you 110%! Just be careful and take care of yourself, but I hope to see some pictures of you back in the sky soon! ~skysprite
