  1. Says the person that said this. Those facial injuries were false. I thought that was made clear in that discussion. Those who throw stones.....
  2. Have you not heard your own Billvon say the line "its ok he has a black friend" multiple times in the past month? You never said anything to him, how is this any different it was a joke man...... Jesus...
  3. Not exactly. The first part of the 2nd A says "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state.." So the purpose of the 2nd is to have available a "well regulated militia." Which a lot of anti-gun folks have taken to mean the National Guard (state organized and funded militia). But, if you read the stuff associated with the writing of the Constitution, and specifically the BOR, you will find that they didn't mean a "state milita." They meant an "unorganized milita." Which was defined as all able bodied adult males. (women didn't have any rights back then, personally I'd include them today). And "well regulated" meant "well armed", not burdened with a lot of rules. Remember, one of the things the founding fathers feared was a standing army. In those days, the army (you know, the "state militia") was used far, far more often to suppress and oppress the civilian population than it was to invade a foreign country, or defend against foreign invasion. That "local militia" would defend against foreign invasion (something the Japanese were very aware of in WW2), protect the community during situations where the local law enforcement was unable to (natural disasters or large groups of bad guys), and be able to defend against government over reach. The second part of the sentence "..the right of the people to keep and bear arms." Covers stuff like hunting, self defense and all that. Funny how the "people" in the other nine amendments (the word "people" or "person" isn't in all of them, but it's implied) mean just that - individual people. But some folks choose to not accept that in the case of the 2nd. Which makes no sense. Because one of the original versions of the 2nd is longer, and includes this: "Composed of the body of the people." +1 Well proved
  4. Who would you like to see in those positions, or who here most represents the actual positions in real life. Both would be a fun fill in the blank
  5. What?! Do you think we all have fully auto m-16, mp5, and Abrams tanks over here? Lemmee know if you need help in acquiring any of the items on your list. Full Auto M16 ~$2,500 with tax stamp MP-5 (Depends on if you want the 91 (.308) with full suppressor and full auto - ~$4,000 with both tax stamps. Abrams - Starting at $2.5 Million up to $7.5 Million (age, condition & location are price factors).
  6. I care about the results of lies. I believe it is impossible to be in politics (or high level business) and not lie from time to time. Do I care that Bill Clinton lied about a blowjob, not at all. Do I care Clinton lied about Benghazi being about a video. Not at all, didn't change anything. Do I care she lied about email on her own server, yes it has possible implications that need to be addressed. Do I care Bush lied and in the process killed hundred's of thousands and pave the way for ISIS. Yes, I do. Do I care Trump continues to lie to try and incite hatred to get himself elected. Yes, I do. Do I care that Hands up don't shoot was based on a lie. No, since there is an issue with police brutality and ingrained racism in policing and that "slogan" is helping to bring attention to that. The shooting was ruled justified, but the report also indicated systemic racism in the police department. Hence, the fact that you have a serious problems with hands up don't shoot, but no issues with Trump's lies says something about you. In my opinion, which I know you don't care about, it doesn't say much positive. Lastly, it is also indicative of the problem Mirage outlined above. Severity of lies, or at least the severity of the consequences of the lies are no longer important. Only thing that is important is the political affiliation. Is it "my guy" or "their guy". Lying is lying, and accepting that is a terrible flaw. If they easily lie on the small stuff, that means they will damn sure lie on the big stuff.
  7. What?! Do you think we all have fully auto m-16, mp5, and Abrams tanks over here?
  8. About as good as the politician who stated a ghost gun was a magazine Clip fed gun that shot 30 rounds per second. Or the other one that was the author of a gun restriction bill and could not even tell the reporter what a magazine was. Or the other one that said to use a shotgun to fire warning shots into the air at intruders. There is always gonna be the idiots that rise to the attention of the media.
  9. Yeah that's what I thought. Why don't you go research some more officer Wilson facial injuries reports. You did so good last time.
  10. Do you have something to say or just here to troll?
  11. And if it keeps getting hotter we will just sprinkle louisiana crab boil right in the Gulf of Mexico and serve them hot and fresh right off the docks.
  12. His point aside I am pointing out to you that, and unless you can produce numbers otherwise. CCW has not statistically added to the homicide rate via them being the victims or perpetrators, so one could say that CCW protected people without having to kill someone while the criminal murder rate did in fact rise. The only way to know for sure is to see the details of each murder, and there happens to be a funny little website that does in fact track that. I'm starting a side discussion on CCW and the murder rate, not talking about your little bitch session with him. So your blah blah quote comment was childish.
  13. Mistake of fact is a valid defense is it not.
  14. Crawfish which are normally absent this time of year are abundant and ranging from medium to large size, so are blue crabs. This is gonna be a great year for the seafood industry here.
  15. It will be 82 today here....mid December!
  16. We're there a statistically significant number of murders by concealed carry users that made this murder rate eclipse the 2014 murders? Was a statistically significant number of CCW users murdered themselves? If no to either of these then it's possible to draw a conclusion that being armed help CCW users stay safe, and/or that they caused no harm.
  17. Disagree, there is a huge disconnect from any real discussion when you are hundreds if not thousands of miles from the professor, using forums for "participation credits" to discuss a subject. It's not the same as an in person in classroom debate about a topic. The main things missing are timing, emotions, voice inflection, eye contact, facial expressions etc. You can't tell me an online degree can be 100% the personal experience as someone who lived on campus and had all the other experiences and hard times that helped mold them into who they are 4 years later.
  18. With online degrees becoming widespread it is about taking tests. The students never see a classroom.
  19. Not just accept it. If you dont toe the liberal line they will mock and chastise you for not feeling bad for whatever cause they are trying to circle jerk over.
  20. I strongly disagree. I know many LSU graduated engineers, IT managers, and others that went to a slower track school (Baton Rouge Community College) to catch up before moving on and transfering to the big leagues. It certainly wasn't about lesser goals it was cost for some, and catching up for others. What we really need is less of a focus on EVERYONE needs to go to college, and more options for trade schools for those that know they dont have the drive, or the money and will never make it. That way they are prepared to make a living instead of ending up working fast food or on welfare. The backbone of this country is the welders, carpenters, pipe fitters, electricians, iron workers, etc. and that takes skilled labor.
  21. If the data suggest BLACK people are failing in these tougher schools are are getting in solely based off of diversity numbers then it is absolutely not racist to say the black students we are allowing in under this program need to go to a school with curriculum that better suits their high school education first. Thats what I understood him to say. Not black people as a whole but the black students forced on to the universities who are not ready for that level of school but were allowed in as a "token"
  22. If they need to go to a community college and take some remedial courses and get up to par from a substandard highsschool before they transfer to these harder private universities then thats how it should be. A person should not be called racist for having to say this when the data suggests it could be true as the poster above implied.
