  1. Can someone direct me to paperwork or info on how to get someone that is already a tandem master to being a USPA TI? This person is already a USPA AFFI and Strong, Sigma, Omega TM. Thanks...
  2. "They're made in Europe where there are no obese people to fall out of harnesses." "Oh, they're there. They are just encouraged to stay out of sight so they don't offend the general public." No they are definitely out and about. Free to roam as they please.
  3. Omega Tandem from Firebird. Back strap as in the lower back strap on a Sigma harness.
  4. Where I'm working we have student tandem harness's that don't have back-straps or belly-straps. Just imagine a Sigma harness without those and that's what it is. I don't care about the belly strap, but would feel way more comfortable if we had a back-strap. If you were to explain to someone WHY you wanted those, what would you say? Please nothing stupid, just what you would say and how you would justify why it's safer to have it. Or if you don't think it matters explain that and why.
  5. The camp won't start until 5pm on Friday for those that want to come but work during the weeks!
  6. A FF safe container is probably more important than looking good. But I love my LS Suit.
  7. If anyone knows the answer to these that would be great... in Germany pack jobs are good for 1 year, in the US 6 months. If a US FAA rigger is packing in Germany, is their packjob good for 6 months or one year (in Germany)? If a sport jumper comes to Germany with a rig that was packed in the US, is their packjob good for one year or 6 months? If a rig was packed by a German rigger in germany then taken to the states is the packjob good for 6 months or one year?
  8. Not sure if this is the right forum, but... In March 2007 I got a Class 2 Medical. On the card it says it's good as a class 2 for 2 years, then after 2 years it'd go to a Class 3 for 1 more year. I was just reading on-line that Class 3's are good for 5 years, is this true? And if so, does that mean my Class 2 is good as a Class 3 for a total of 5 years?

  10. We're also home to the Beat Cancer Boogie 2010 and Women's Vertical World Record Europe Skills Camps.
  11. I don't have a link. That's why I'm asking if anyone knows about it.
  12. Anyone heard of it? Airborne Systems uses it I think...just curious what people think about it or what you know.
  13. I flew A LOT with Scott L. He's the man. Very knowledgeable and super friendly. He might be broken right now though. Brad C and Derek V are also equally awesome.
  14. Like I said I've seen quite a few of these open. Yeah they rock and roll a bit before you pop the toggles. But what I'm talking about is far far far from normal. I wish I had video of them opening cuz you definitely wouldn't think "normal" when you see it. It'd be more along the lines of "holy shit". And continues for quite awhile even after the toggles are popped. And like I said it's just one place that I'm seeing them this bad... SO, I guess my real question is...what kinds of things, if any, do you think would/could make the openings surge and stall so much.
  15. Just curious what peoples experience with Sigma Reserve openings are. I'm seeing some serious stalling, surging scariness and wondering what's up. Have been told "they are supposed to open like that in case of a terminal ride". Is this true. I'm not talking just a little stall or surge either. Pretty bad and continues even after breaks are un-stowed for a bit. I've seen lots of Sigma reserve rides and have had my fair share and am just now seeing this in one place. Anyone?
  16. There's a really cool boogie there the end of August. Skydive Oregon "All of The Above Boogie". Aug 28,29,30.
  17. Well I would make sure and have a tent and sleeping bag. And beer.
  18. Is Comfort Inn the best or bad? I'm confused by what you wrote.
  19. Is anyone driving from the DZ Sunday for OHara sometime between 4pm and 6 pm. I'm looking for a possible ride to the airport that time.
  20. ...Kim's moved to here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CouEMMJTE2Q starts at 00:13
  21. I know of someone that cut a drogue off himself in FF. And then riggers later saying they tested how hard it would be by hanging from one and said that it..."cut like butter".
  22. Not being an idiot and having a better exit is what I'd do...but if I was an idiot for a jump and did that I'd go for my hook knife and cut that bitch off.
  23. When I click on the link I posted above it gives me pictures...when you click on the link that MacTim posted it gives descriptions.
