You do know that Occupy Seattle is 2,854 miles from Wall Street don't you?

Low Minimum Wages Kill Jobs and Crush Living Standards for Everyone
loumeinhart replied to wlsc's topic in Speakers Corner
There were people making minimum wage that owned iphones long before I did. I simply chose not to buy one because my little GSM clamshell did the job just fine. -
Dude I should have bought your piece when I had the chance.. Now I'm scrambling for handgun paperwork so I have some protection down south. Meanwhile I have poster-sized copies of lepka's posts to scare them off.

Cuero to be exact. I've heard good things about Big Bend - I'm gonna visit soon. Need to check out Shiner's brewery as well

small-town Texas rules! I'm located equidistant to Houston, San Antonio, and Corpus. I really need to swoop the beach down there. Also gonna check out Hill Country when I have some time. I do miss the Ohio crew - poor bastards stuck paying state income tax and shoveling snow

lol "Sir the buying power is level 3 and needs immediately raised to level 5!" Dreaming also lets you dust yourself off after going in. -
so they didn't say anything about the leading edge...

It would be interesting to setup a dummy FB account and run some tests.

I think it's a bit of both

I raised my desk to 40" and stand at work. They think I'm nuts but I would go insane sitting in a chair. I feel like it relieves stress because I'm exerting a bit of energy by standing. It also gives me full view of the Weather Channel monitor... and full view of THIS!

catnip, tuna, laser pointer, and some patience. good deal. She's a 20 pounder so I'll get the big tuna pack.

I adopted a cat last Thursday (6yr old female). She is honkered down in the deepest darkest hole of my basement. Does she hate my guts?

I get a worked up reading his posts, then a quick release after responding, then I feel like a cheap hooker. But I really don't know what a cheap hooker feels like. I mean, probably fine as long has she isn't sick or has caught cold or something.

To navigate economic storms we need better forecasting

I was told that tax cuts DON'T create jobs

If Jane wants to invest and grow, pay down debt, maybe update coffee machine, then A If she wants to simply give herself a raise, B Last spring I ordered a sprocket kit online. I literally googled "ex500 rear sprocket kit", then sorted results for price+shipping=lowest. Which of Jane's options would better provide a competitive edge and long-term growth? -
That's part of the experience. Like a gameshow where you dodge freaks in order to get the good deals. Yesterday I took my jump drive to the photo center and had 110 quality 4x6 prints in 1HR for 14 bucks. Had to grab some window blinds too. I want to send a thank-you card to the kids back East but the packaging doesn't specify the originating sweatshop.

Wall Street protesters to occupy foreclosed homes
loumeinhart replied to dreamdancer's topic in Speakers Corner
That's probably for the banks internal records. An instrument will still be filed at the local courthouse. Otherwise the lender would not have first-lien position (unless a 2nd mtg/HELOC). Anyway, OWS might be on to something here. With banks having to pay for weatherization, taxes, mowing, etc, on vacant structures, is it possible that a group of people could approach the bank with an offer to occupy and maintain the property? There are hundreds of condemned structures in Cleveland that banks can't give away for free. Many are occupied by homeless but they're scrawny and malnourished so OWS folks could boot them right out. There is a vacant house directly across from me and I would welcome just about anyone to occupy it. Just having lights on and some activity would make the neighborhood just a bit safer. -

odds are the lien and deed are notarized and filed at the courthouse. -

I think you're underestimating the banking infrastructure. Most companies use robust computer software to keep records. It becomes necessary when you start funding thousands of home loans to strangers with a good credit score. You're utopian squatter idea interesting except for just a few logistical deatils. You're a home owner so you know what I mean. Lasty I'm responding to your BoA statement. It amazes me the perspective that people like you have. A complete stranger just handed you cash for a POS car. I hope that you paid a pre-payment penalty so wasting their time doesn't increase the cost to their other customers. Your attitude towards banks that have lended you money makes me wonder how you would react if a bank actually turned you down.
