I am calling BS on this whole thread because I am the guy who is being accused by these scammers. I say scammers because they are and their story is easily disproven. Several years ago during an inspection of one of the Porters I own, SN 2040, we found some corrosion in the wing spar cap. After looking around I found one on a parts aircraft, SN 704, which was being stored in England. The owner of the aircraft was in the US, Seattle WA to be exact. We bought it, they shipped it to us and we used the wing to replace our wing. (FYI you can go the PC-6.com and to the Current Status tab on the left. Scroll down to the bottom of that page and you will see that the status of SN 704 is still listed as being owned by the Carroll Harden, who is the person we purchased it from. This guy accusing is never listed as ever owning the AC.) About a year after we bought the AC these guys started making accusations about SN 523 being stolen and last seen a year AFTER we purchased SN 704. One of our friends made us aware that the people who were in Possession of our Parts AC in the UK were the same People who were in possession of SN 523 when it disappeared. I called the guy Andrew who said he was the owner of SN 523 and we realized that the AC I had wasn’t his but he went no to claim that some of the parts may have been. I decided that I didn’t want any part of this so I called the local authorities and the FBI and asked them to investigate the situation. They and the FAA did over several years leading up to them closing their case last year with the conclusion that all the accusation were untrue and that apparently these guys are all involved in some kind aircraft dispute that at best was a civil matter that they needed to sort out on their own. I have a letter from the FAA stating this, and all other logs and documentation that disproves their accusation. Unlike these accusers I am a legitimate businessman and have been for almost 30 years. I own many businesses, including the Raeford wind tunnel and 3 caravans with the porter as Paraclete Aviation, A real estate holding company, and a body armor company, and yes I am a candidate for congress. You can ask anyone who knows me or has ever done any business with me and they will tell you that I am a committed Christian and I make it a point to be fair and honest in all my dealings. You say you voted for Reagan. He lowered the tax rate for the highest tax bracket by half and tax revenue to the federal government went up for that group and did it due to the increased activity the reduction created. You are talking a static analysis when the dynamic effect will increase activity and create job. That is what we are talking about, creating jobs. The economy has decreased proportionate to the level of unemployment. The unemployed don't consume and we are a consumer based economy. As unemployment continues to rise there will be fewer and fewer consumers and the economy will continue to decline. The only solutions coming out of Washington are to increase spending and the effect is devastating the economy. They as you have an opinion but no knowledge of the facts, nor do you have any knowledge of the foundational principles of our nation. If you want to criticize me please first understand I speak because I do know. As for the personal attacks, they are people who are assigning evil intent when they know nothing at all about me or about the foundations of this nation. They are sponges of the pop culture and bought into the false demonization they impose on any that refuse to be part their self serving lies. I am not afraid. By the way, I am a Conservative running as a Republican. And give me a break about me having thin skin. You girls can't get hurt feelings when someone dishes it out and it comes back as hard.

OK, I am here. I am a Christian Constitutional Conservative running as a Republican. That means I believe in the Constitution and all the principles contained in it and that all our problems have derived from departures from that. TK mentions that he Hung up on me; he did so based on him losing it after he wasn't able to counter my Constitutional arguments about conservative solutions to our National problem. One example: When I say on my web site that my answer to the jobs problem is to lower taxed on business TK said I should change that to "lower taxes to increase corporate profits." During our phone conversation he said that profits were a bad thing and I disagreed and explained to him that all businesses either make a profit or close and that the only ones able to stay open without making profit are government subsidized, like GM. I know that the way to create jobs is to allow businesses to make a profit. The easiest quickest way is to reduce their tax burden and reduce regulation. The government just spent 787 billion dollars on the premise of saving or creating 3 to 4 million jobs. The nation believed the lie, we spent the money and the result was we lost 3 to 4 million jobs. The liberal socialist solutions don't work, never have and never will. Only fools or those fooled would spend that much money to destroy that many jobs and then offer the same failed policy as the further solution. Wake up! As for why did I send cards to people outside my district; it is to gain support and money for the campaign and not to get votes. The national political people look more to the support and number of supporters you have as a way to judge your viability as a candidate. The wider the support area the better. I would much rather use my own money and not go through this. If you notice on the card I say just a few dollars will show your support to the national politicians. I would rather have wide support with just a few dollars from many people than to burden anyone with larger donations. Although many skydivers have been very generous and have donated large amounts. Those who know me know I keep my word and do the right thing. To all the personal attacks from those who don't know me, twenty years ago I would have made sure I hunted you all down to personally interact with you. Thank God I am a Christian.

If you have the time and $500 a month you can get as much as a half hour a day per person, if you become a member of Paraclete XP tunnel. That is $6000 a year, or what is it now, 2 or 3 thousand marks or pounds or lira? We have people coming in groups of 2 to 4 and doing hours a day. SO, if you look at what is possible, you could do 182.5 hours a year by yourself for $6000 a year. That is over $200,000 worth of time at normal rates. I could go on: If you had a 4 way team you could do as much as 730 hours a year for $500 a person per month. That is about the equivalent of 43,000 jumps (x 4) for $24,000 total for the team. That equals about 14 cents per person per jump. That is the extreme that is possible. In the old days we said there are two ways to become a champion; First is to join the Army and become a Golden Knight. Second is to live in tent on the DZ and eat beans for 2 to 5 years. NOW their is a third way - Become a member of Paraclete XP. These days there is only one reason your not great, you don't want to be. Let me go on: Right now we have hours and hours open and available to members every week day and most weekend days. A person could join and come here for a month and easily do 15 hours in a month, or a 4 way team could do 60 hours in a month. That is the equivalent of 14 cents per person per jump if you figured what they spent just for that month. If they didn't come back for the rest of the year and continued to pay their dues of the full $24,000 that would be the equivalent of 3600 team jumps at $1.65 a jump per person. Sorry about all the numbers, but, trying to show that Paraclete XP is actually the best use for your training/learning dollar. This brings to mind another old saying " You can lead a horse to water, but some of them will just jump in and fart so they can see the bubbles." That is it, isn't it?

I am going to try to say something profound, something comforting, something to explain how meaningful this seemingly meaningless tragedy is, BUT, all that I can think of are these words: "Let not your heart be troubled". I told a little earlier about Paul but maybe left out what I though of him. I thought enough of him that when I trained my oldest son to skydive, I trained him and then turned him over to Paul to jump with. Then when I trained my second son I turned him over to Paul to jump with. When my two daughters went into the wind tunnel the person that I asked to fligh with them was Paul. When I took a 10 year lay off and jumped again for the first time the person that I picked (asked and he happily agreed) to jump with was Paul. I can't say anything more profound about who he was than to say that this is who he was. Comforting? I am not regretful. I am sorrowful and sad that I will not see a good friend for a while. There is a quote in the Bible that goes like this, "To live is Christ and to die is gain." This is a hard saying to accept but in times now past a wake was a party celebrating the departed passage into a place where there is no sorrow or pain, a place of perfect tranquility. In life we will always have these things and the only place of true Rest is the place that we will all go eventually. So, I have no regrets about Paul's life or his passing. He has just gone where I will also. I will see him again and make many more jumps with him than I have made. I am comforted in knowing this. I hear him saying "Let not your heart be troubled." Meaningless or meaningful? That is for each of us to decide. I would prefer to see it as God's way of reminding us all of what we all once knew. I say all as in human kind. Humanity all once knew that this life and that now wasn't all there was. Then we all got enlightened to the pop-knowledge that God wasn't cool. If you believe that there is nothing beyond this then it was meaningless. If you believe that there is more than what we can touch and feel, that there is a bigger picture, a life more valuable in the eternal, then there is meaning to it. I know therefore I speak. I know that it has meaning. How do you see it? Paul has done great things in his life. I believe that he has done great things in his death also. Paul, my family and I love you and we will see you again.

I want to ask everyone to be sensitive to the fact that Paul¡¯s daughter is reading this forum. So, please consider that opinions about Paul¡¯s state and chances may be best kept for some other time and place. I have known Paul since he first showed up at Raeford DZ back in the mid 80¡¯s. I watched him progress from a novice to a world champion. I also saw a part of Paul that very few may know about. That is the part of him that even with all his accomplishments was still searching for something. I think he found that several years ago. Paul¡¯s daughter attends a Christian school and she and her mother are both active members of their local church. I know them well and know what they believe. They have a Great Hope that will not fade of falter. They know that no matter what happens, no matter what the outcome, God is always working all things for the good of those that love Him. I only say this to make the point that sometimes things like this can¡¯t be understood until they are understood in the light of eternity. The eternal perspective is that this life is always only temporary and that the purpose of this life is to perfect the inner us in preparation for the reality of our eternal existence.
