But will they still vote for him?
-
Wow. And you no doubt fancy yourself an informed person. Thanks for the reminder.

Look, let's just get it out of the way upfront: if DZ.com get's sold to Nigerian driveway pavers we are all going to miss Brent. Maybe not Kallend, but probably he's too busy being fretful over quantized tachyon fields, the energy spectrum unbounded from below, the frame-dependent and unstable vacuum state, and the non-covariant commutation rules, which (like DUH!) are shown to be a result of misrepresenting the Lorentz group in a too small Hilbert space. But lets not focus on the past. Of course, the rest of us will have some unexpected spare time. The important point is, BIGUN's Bonfire post not withstanding, we are not here for the advancement of the science of society, we are here for our selfish selves. Truly, I cannot fathom why I'm not frocked in the Holy Orders, but I digress. The pedestrian thing is that if we don't come up with a back up plan to complain about Brent, swooping, and the panoply of other things critical to our daily lives before unhappily ever after arrives in the personage of some someone who sees value in the DZ.Com url, then we're all destined to become lost, wandering souls unable to talk to anyone so as to feel better about ourselves without actually talking to them in person. Is that how we want to live? Surely someone can find a solution. So, I did a quick check of our organizational chart and Damn!, we only got one someone: BillVon. As all here know, the last thing I want to do is cause any trouble. That agreed, now might be a time to suggest strongly worded (not a denial of moderation attack, mind you) suggestion letter to whomever might be your favorite someone. Just a thought.

No kidding? Crazy.

Negative. No one want's to pay. We all pay it continues. It is that simple.
-
Ya' well guess what, your two free jumps are revoked if you can't fix this.

This is LeBron James offering to the discussion. https://x.com/KingJames/status/1852093996350275595?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1852093996350275595|twgr^2f0a27c56d5b0771e67dab3a59e778e9e023a5a4|twcon^s1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailykos.com%2Fstories%2F2024%2F10%2F31%2F2281413%2F-Lebron-James-endorses-Kamala-Harris-with-a-brutal-ad

That's awesome. Now we only need endorsements by the Ghana Gazette and the Tahiti Times to put this puppy in the can.

Getting banned is soon to become universal so, meh. In fact, anyone here with space in their personal penalty box for another purple medal of honor ought to start raising a little hell just for shits and giggles. If you gotta go then go with a smile, I say.

That's also MAGA, Professor. Looks like they're shutting down the game and taking the ball home anyway so why not set yourself free, and all the captures in your kill file, and live free and liberal while the party lasts?
-
That's always the problem. Fortunately we have a solution: I nominate you and I invite all posters here, and everyone on their ignored users lists, to publicly throw their support behind the next President of DZ.com, Wendy!
-
Human interactions aren't math problems and a permanent ignored users list is a lot more MAGA than Woke, seems to me.
-
Maybe not but they can tell a new slur in an instant you silly WaPo!
-
I dunno, Boeing isn't a college or publicly funded institution (more or less) so choosing merit (assuming they mean merit regardless of race, creed, sex etc.) seems woke to me.

Far from it. If anything this thread has shown a near perfection of his art. Most of us hope to catch one fish per lure but our correspondent has again shown his unique ability to play several at once. I'm to where I'm ready to believe if he started a thread: Dem's secretly communicate with armpit farts we'd engage seriously for a couple of pages and maybe get a warning, too.
-
Interesting. But to my ear what’s missing are thoughtfulness and rationality in their reasons.
-
Third party is better than no party, I reckon. Do tell, what are your friends reasonably sane explanations?

Joe is correct. He could have added more. The Mirage Fighters are just that as have been the F-16's. We need to untether our long range missiles from limited use. Also, we need to hope the clever Ukrainians have reversed engineered western cruise missiles and are close to deployment. I think the Ukrainians should reduce to rubble, as the Russians love to do, St.Basil's Cathedral and show the nuclear threat was empty.

First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Communist................ A little bit of rushmc goes a very long way, for sure, and I'll killfile him again in short order, no doubt. But he is a different flavor of right winger than say Brent or BIGUN or BillE whom are smart and also different in ways, but they are not fully confined or informed by their religious beliefs like Ron. So there is information, and entertainment value, in the reminder that there are other subsets on the spectrum like rushmc. Not all bad for a brief respite.

This is going to be fun

What is so baffling is that we know for a fact that too many people of color won't vote against the racism they rightfully condemn. Similarly, you'd think that 100% of LGBTQ folks would vote against Trump but they won't. Even crazier is that young white men trend towards Trump. I mean, if there was ever a cohort that should be concerned about women losing abortion rights you'd think they'd be it. Nothing makes sense anymore.
-
That was 25 years ago in my time of need.
-
Certainly, but unless happily ever after is behind us we're still moving in the wrong direction. I wish it wasn't so as hard as you, I'm just less optimistic perhaps.
-
Thanks to moron voters, actually.

Or that there are already 450,000 Puerto Rican's, not including Geraldo, in Pennsylvania.
