  1. Heya Sean. Your enthusiasm made me smile several times yesterday in spite of a few frustrating problems I had, thanks! Owned by Remi #?
  2. Good to meet ya, Amazon. Oddly, I use that name on a couple of other forums.. and my middle name is Jeanne. Separated at birth? Nah. Thanks for the greeting... hope to see you at one of those boogies. I've already got one thing down, been partying like I was 20 since I was 15. The strange thing is that jumping has slowed me down. I can't imagine trying to jump with a hangover... ack. Owned by Remi #?
  3. Heh.. what an intro! Yeah, that was me with the scotch (it was my graduation night. Sometimes I bother with a glass) I'd love to go to the dark side, I just think I'd better get a few more jumps under my belt first, eh? Owned by Remi #?
  4. Hiya. Yes, I was there today jumping with Billy's groups (ok, ok... watching Billy's groups from a distance because my exits really suck) I'm the tall gawky woman with short, dark hair :-) My name is Kelly Owned by Remi #?
  5. This forum has been an amazing source of information and plain 'ole "feel good" to me for the past few weeks. I did a tandem jump with a friend about 7 years ago and have talked from time to time since then about wanting to do the AFF 1 jump just to experience the thrill. My friend, who is now my S/O, called my bluff after all this time and bought me that AFF jump for my 40th birthday a couple of weeks ago. I went to the DZ (AerOhio) that morning expecting to do the level one and file the experience away under "done that" without looking back. Observation of the super staff at the DZ and the level of understanding and confidence I felt that I had for the gear after the FJC made me feel WAY more psyched than I imagined. I was ready to go and very, very dissapointed when weather and time delayed my jump until the next day. I thought long and hard that night about how I was feeling and realized even then that if I made that first jump I wasn't going to stop there. My level one video is a riot. I look like a 3 year-old on a candy high. I was on the next load for level 2. In the 2 months since then I've finished the AFF course and completed 28 skydives. I know now what other people mean when they talk about not being able to look up at the sky without wanting to be there.... and I NEVER hear a plane passing overhead anymore without hearing "DOOR!" I can't say enough good things about the people I've met and the wonderfull staff at the DZ. I feel like I got the most fabulous birthday present anyone could ever get. A new outlook on life and new partners in crime to hang out with.. Owned by Remi #?
