I just met Laura for the first time this weekend at the Star Farms Boogie. She seems like an awesome person and I wish her the best possible birthday. So I had 2 out, normal opening and found my reserve flying next to my main. Cut away my main and landed my reserve (winds were really choppy and inconsistent that day so that was one of the reasons I opted to cut away my main and land my reserve). We could not figure out why my reserve had deployed. It was definitely not a cypress fire. I had checked my reserve pin on the ground and it was fine (did not have it checked on the plane), I had not bumped into anything on the plane or during my skydive. There was a lot of slack on my RSL - like 5 - 7 ". Some people think this may have caused the reserve deployment, my rigger said no way. So what do you think?
