  1. I had 3 R1s before the 1098. Haga is actually my favorite Superbike racer. He rides like he is indestructible. Really nice contrast to Bayliss. Of course, knowing the result has never stopped me from watching races. It is all about the journey (though results aren't so bad either). -Hixxx death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
  2. Damn you man. It doesn't show for another 3 hours here... My whole afternoon ruined! WTF? I guess I am watchin' hockey this afternoon... -Hixxx Think I might get that swing arm so I can smoke up a fatty on my bike. death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
  3. Yeah, I fuckin' hate the track bike. But in a good way too. I had a glance at it. Higher displacement, stiffer swing arm for nice fat slicks, All the nice Ohlins shit I can't afford, and a zillion other goodies. I am not suprised that it is sitting on the podium with more than one rider. Yet, Bayliss is as tuned as the bike itself. That guy is such a clean rider he makes some of the competition look like they are on dirt bikes. The right guy on the right bike. What I really like is that Ducati is the little guy. 60,000 bikes a year, maybe 3000 1098s. Beating mfgs that make millions of bikes and have 25,000 liter bikes going to dealers. -Hixxx death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
  4. Being a 1098 owner, I can only beam with pride. Okay, and with a bit of envy with all the neat factory race goodies on his bike. However, I am very happy just to have a base model 07. Will this be Bayliss 3rd Ducati model to have a championship? Pretty good chance there... I wonder if Stoner will get out of his rut in Shanhai... My first impression after the first weekend with th 1098 is no regrets... There is more grunt and just as much power as the R1s, but the Duc can plant it on the ground better. This bike really sticks it and goes. I feel way more planted in the turns and it hooks up better just getting on it in the flats. If I would have known they handled this well. I would have had a 916 years ago... -Hixxx death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when

Yeah, I missed the lingerie dive this year. I missed the sheer fabric against my skin and the wind between my testicles swooping the loading tent... However, I really appreciate getting your consent to marry your daughter. Now if I can just convince Jenny, what a wonderful life we will have together and bear children with a penchant for crossdressing, wigs, and inappropriate nudity... I wish Meriah would have consented to let me tuck it back and join the pink mafia with the timeless moniker of "Tucker"... -Hixxx -Hixxx death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when

It is kinda like sleeping with a hot chick with a medical condition. I mean you still don't say no... Just accept that there may be periodic performance issues, but the highs all but erase that... -HIxxx death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when

I think it is even more significant what Stoner is doing in GP this year... The Ducati has the best power and that kid has the best focus. It is afterall the big kids league. I am afraid Foggy would have been just another guy chasing Doohan or Rossi in GP. -Hixxx death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when

Yes, I like how the 1098 is similar in the tail section to an MV. Now if I can just find a 2 into 4 slip on for it.... death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when

Funny you mention that, I was one phone call away from ordering an 07 R1 in red and black. I still completely love the Yams. However, I have a friend that has had 2 R1s who has an S model with the full exhaust and ECU who says there is no comparison. His 1098 crushes anything else he has ever rode. Ducati made a pretty substantial leap forward with the evolutionize engine. We will see it in Superbike next year... -Hixxx death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when

Oh, forgot the history... 95 CBR sold to get 98 Yam R1 first year of prod 98 Yam totalled getting hit from behind by pick up truck (that shit hurt for months). 2000 Yam curteousy of insurance of motherfuck who hit me with the truck. 2000 Yam traded for 02 silver an black Yam in moment of weakness. 02 Yam sold in moment of even more weakness after bought of unemployment. 07 Ducati 1098 purchased after 40 years of failure to secure an Italian girlfriend. -Hixxx -Hixxx death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when

So, I have less than 24 hours to go to pick up my new Superbike. It is my fifth bike after a CBR900 and 3 R1s. I have waited 3 years to get another bike again, but I think it will be worth it as I have waited 12 years to get a bike by this maker... A huge thank you from Des Moines Skydivers for all that came out and jumped or contributed to the Couchfreaks boogie... We had 700 registered with 530 skydivers making 6200 jumps and mercilessly draining 75 kegs (1200 gallons). All of this with no major injuries, but a few after hours stitches from a runaway keg... Much thanks, Hixxx and the Couchfreaks death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
  19. 696, borrowed a mirage with a velo 103 (Tyler Lawson's) for a video jump of my sister's team. When I was pulling the slider down over the toggles I dislodged one of them and the slider locked down on the other against the riser and I couldn't unstow it. I messed with it briefly, then chopped it away. Yes, I did stand up the landing on a Tempo 150... Tyler was cool enough to let me buy a new bag and p/c and repack it for him. I was lucky to get the Velo back as it only had 12 jumps on it. -Hixxx death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when

  21. I have a friend that has been waiting 20 weeks for a Cobalt. They finally sent him demo to cover a few weeks ago, but still nothing on the custom canopy he ordered. -Jon death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
  22. So, what would you use to clean it? Just a small 3/4" area on an interior rib. I have had benzene recommended, but it is hard to find. I have also read naptha (white gasoline) is another option. However, I would like to hear from riggers in the field that have cleaned this type of stain before and what they used. If you are not a rigger with this experience and are looking to interject a bullshit option, please save it for another thread... thanks, Hixxx death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
  23. I think that could be handled by choice of polarity and the strength the magnets... Hixxx death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
  24. Yeah, but you can still get slammed with a bigger slider if it is not on the stops. This could make a canopy a little more goof proof from a packing standpoint. Seeing how a lot of novice jumpers (that maybe struggling with packing) have Sabre Is for first canopies, this could help them not loose the slider and get the daylights slammed out of them. Still an interesting idea I think. Hixxx death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
